Thanks @themadvix, @teapot2, mostly, though the imposter syndrome is still going ‘aww shucks …’ 😂 @edinburgher, good thought! 😂 @Brewerspride, yes, so very different! @beanielou 😊
Had a look at my test results on the NHS app - they have checked everything! 😳 Mostly okay - too high on B12 (I will stop my daily supplement until I speak to the doctor) and there is an issue with one of my liver results - I’ve had a Google and it may be something scary but more likely to be somewhat fatty liver due to being overweight and inactive. I’m going to not worry until 6th January …
Finished work early! 🤩🎉
Popped into morreesons to buy Mr KK a trout … (it was heaving!) he doesn’t know about this and was sadly compromising on a piece of salmon for Christmas Eve 😉 Hoping to keep this a secret until he turns up to his plate! 😊🤩 I put a second one and the salmon in the freezer for next year 😊
Meanwhile, I treated myself to a macaroni cheese (so very bored of soup for lunch! 😂) and a bouquet of lillies. I love the smell of lillies at Christmas 😊 And for those worried about Chloe, they are at the back of the sideboard, which is rammed with ‘stuff’ (various edibles!), so Madame won’t get near them … 😊
Had the macaroni cheese with three large tomato halves (there was one lurking in the fridge! 😂) and the end of the bag of sprouts from the weekend, so I am ready for all new stocks of both those now 😊
Just having a brew and then I must get on with some cleaning ….
EDIT: My parents’ Christmas pot arrived yesterday evening 😊

Aw what a brilliant message 🥰 so very well deserved too! How nice to be appreciated 😊!
I shouldn't say this but I'm hoping they find something on my blood tests as I'm so fed up of feeling exhausted now. Something has to be not right 🤔 so I await mine and kind of hope it's an easy fix that they will spot! 😊Emergency Fund goal - £1000/2000

You totally deserve the feedback @KajiKita! I hope you wear a Wonderwoman cloak to work, at least sometimes? Love Humdinger xx3

Thanks @skint_spice, @Baileys_Babe, @Humdinger1 😊
I totally get where you are coming from @debtfreewannabe321 - I want a simple, easy to fix explanation. But I have a nasty feeling the feedback for me, is going to be lose weight and exercise more … 🙄🤷♀️😉
Another poor night’s sleep. Sigh … overheating, sore hip and head spinning with everything I have to do tomorrow …
I have washed the bit of washing for both of us in one load (but that gets Mr KK’s work shirt and trousers done and out of the way 😊) and it’s on the twirly. It’s cold here but not freezing and there’s a fair breeze - I’m hoping with a few bits of sun, it might all dry quite well 😊 Incidentally, it’s thanks to MSE’rs like @Greying_Pilgrim, that I’m even attempting line drying at this time of year. I normally stop in October and don’t start again until late February 😊
Sainsbugs have been and mostly delivered what we wanted - the one casualty was the breaded halloumi sticks - No sainsbugs, hash browns are not an equivalent! 😂 Fridges are groaning! 😉
Mr KK has just swept and mopped the kitchen floor with the flash system - he seems quite pleased with it 😊
Main focus for the rest of the day (apart from a bit of drying of washing and cooking bits and pieces) will be tapestry and a novel! 😊

£5.59 OP sent off from eu3r3ka surveys and a 77p TT.
I suspect that will be it for OPs this year. I might do a summary for the year and forecast / target setting for next year later on 😊

Couldn't resist so have done it now
...
Total OPs for the year:
£5,374
Interest saved over likely remaining lifetime of mortgage:
c. £3,403
If we take worst case capital reduction in a month of £1142, that means I have knocked off a further 7.6 months off the term (I think!). I think I have already reduced it by 6 months so we are already at over a year's reduction.
A biggly chunk of this year's OPs were due to unrepeatable one-offs:
- £2K from the settlement from previous employer once I had a new job.
- £200 from NW as a thank you to members
- £123 due to my car insurance premium dropping so much
However, a target of £3183 for 2026 looks achievable with little effort (saving c. £1825 in interest over remaining term and both together c. 4.3 months of remaining term) and who knows what else might happen or come along
