I am DELIGHTED to be able to tell you that, thanks to a colleague of Mr KK, we have found a reputable furniture cleaner who will be here 8.30am Friday morning!! 😊👏❤️🎊🤩PennysIntoPounds said:Those are big Ups and little Downs, and the feeling so tired is because you are literally getting over being properly ill, just a few days ago!
Your Christmas will be lovely, just go slower and be kinder to yourself in the meantime. Your body has been working very hard battling lurgy invaders.
I have no advice about the cat sick smell though 😁
Thank goodness!

Oh and I made an executive decision today! I gave up looking for the <expletives> door knobs that I brought to match the other ones in the kitchen to use on our ‘new’ island and now we can’t find, and just ordered some more!! 😉😂💪👏

Hey would they need to dry off? We’ve perfectly good laps to dry on ! Not helped by the dog also trying to dry off on my lap 🤣KajiKita said:
I’ve never had slugs and worms … 🤔dawnybabes said:They are little buggers ! But we love them, my kittens have found the cat flap and refusing to use the litter tray at all now. Today it’s been damp and raining so they helpfully brought me supplies in for tea - 2 slugs and a worm anyone ? No thought not !
Do they expect to be dried off when they come in soaked or just dry themselves off on your legs and lap? 😂

Cat sick, have you sprinkled bicarbonate of soda on it ? (Nice of her to do it where you sit so you can appreciate it !) does the cat pee spray work on sick ?I think everyone is knackered this year, don’t forget you’ve had a really nasty bug to get over too.Sealed pot challenge 822

At least you know where the cat sick is… we both heard a cat vomiting in the night but haven’t been able to locate it… that will be a lovely surprise at some point!
Excellent news about the furniture cleaner though and well done for making the executive decision - definitely a worthwhile action!
You are not alone in being bone tired - I think a lot of people are very ready for a break at this point (me included) - and that’s on top of you having been really rather poorly.

I feel like I’m just ‘throwing money at the problem’ rather than the MSE thing of patiently and slowly doing the job myself, but honestly, I’m just too tired now and both sofas here are filthy (I suspect) after all the building works we did two years ago. The cat sick was just the final straw! 😂😉
We are both still snotty and coughy … utterly fed up with it tbh! <sulk mode activated!> 😉

Paying for cleaning is cheaper than having to replace covers/sofas when they get too stinky!
I’ve had some cat retching recently but no vomit (I know, as I’ve been in the room and they eventually just swallow). I’m also pretty sure they are both constipated from lack of exercise at the moment as their tummies are looking round. So pumpkin puree and yogurt are on the menu until I leave for Christmas!1 -
I think you are doing the MSE thing in the sense that you have put yourself in the position that you can afford to pay someone to clean it at a time when you really don’t have the energy to be doing it yourself. And it sounds like they really need it anyway - be kind to yourself and enjoy the fact you’ll have lovely clean sofas for Christmas.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

By having the furniture professionally cleaned you are being both MSE and being kind to the environment compared to replacing the covers or the furniture. Yes this is going to cost money but due to your MSE ways that is available, the alternative would be doing it yourselves which would have cost physical energy which you don't have, this could of resulted in a couple of things 1) it didn't get done or delayed- frustration, guilt, grumpiness, not relaxing & recuperating over Christmas or 2) you force yourselves to do it - both of your recovery is delayed, in your weakened state you succumb to other illnesses, you don't manage recuperating over Christmas, grumpiness, missing out on the celebrations you want to do...
