Finally caught up with my financials and done the standing order input balancing between Mr KK and myself for the joint accounts and making enough ‘headroom’ to accommodate the coming increases in council tax and the water bill. The good news is that we will be able to divert monies from the food budget that we no longer need because of George’s passing (huge reduction in cat food costs!) to the joint house account to make up the shortfall and give us slack of £70 pcm in the joint account (that may well be snuck off to OPs that Mr KK is therefore participating in passively … 😉)
Again, it feels a bit mean that I am a bit sneakily asking for money from Mr KK each month, but he’s already sending it to the joint account (just a different one) so won’t actually be any worse off, and he’s the one who will benefit most if we get this flipping mortgage paid off sooner! 😉🤷♀️😊 I have run it through the MSE calculator and if we can sustain £50 of that £70 to OPs we will pay it off 6 months earlier … (alongside all the other little bits I will add in … 😉) £70 would make it 9 months earlier ….

The mention of comfrey reminded me of when I spent a day in my youth maniacally digging with a trowel to plant a border of bedding plants. I was in such agony the following day I ended up going to A&E and prescribed medication that didn’t work.
My mother - a keen, knowledgeable and avid gardener snipped some comfrey from her garden, wrapped it around my wrist secured with a dampened bandage and the following day it was as right as rain. Knitbone is a very appropriate name.

Finished a novel this morning. Good strong ending 😊
I’ve had another couple of hours in the garden. Not as many as yesterday as I was rather feeling it today, but got my sweet peas in the ground, relocated a volunteer Achimellia Mollis from the veggie patch to the copse and watered the greenhouse and the Amalanchier, the latter is flowering its twigs off! 😊🤩❤️
Emptied the kitchen cupboard where the dishwasher needs to go 👏
Hit 9.5K steps which is a lot for a Sunday! 😊
Just enjoyed my garden ❤️

Thanks @redofromstart 😊
Please note that these are very carefully selected angles so I am not showing the really scruffy bits! 😉😂Thanks @beanielou 😊 I tried a few tulips in pots last year just to see how they went and was impressed by how much colour they brought and how long they lasted, so made a more conscious effort to plant some last autumn 😊
The dishwasher arrived <ahem> some time ago … 😉
