No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks @Brewerspride, @redofromstart (that’s made me smile 😊), @skint_spice and @LadyWithAPlan 😊
I am deliberately trying to put more pictures of my garden up this year, as I found going back through the year reminded me that it did look nice at times 😉

Just loving the inspirational garden pics. Too late for tulips here but may consider for next. My “garden” comprises a small private(ish) patio, gravel and a tiny rockery bit so planters, hanging baskets and pots are my only sensible option. I’m itching to get going but know I have to wait a few more weeks until there’s no risk of pesky frost. Looking forward to seeing more pics.Tilly Tidying andPADing in 2024 £250.62

Lol at the comments on the right angle for pics. I also do the same 😆.
I need to get some comfrey it's on my list. I used it for DS when he hurt himself once before we could get to a Drs. It's a wonderful 'knitbone'. And I want to use it for composting as DP mum keeps telling me to make some compost feed from it.
Sallyforth when I was around 18 we moved to a maisonette and we only had a patio around 10ft long x 4ft wide outside the front of the house (but at the end so no through fare) mum decorated it beautifully with lots of colorful flowers in pots and wind chimes and a mirror to make it feel bigger. And two chairs to sit and admire it all (faced away from all the many many other houses 😆).MORTGAGE BALANCE when we moved Aug 2024, £120,000. January 1st £118,267.06. Its all my fault … I ordered nematodes to knock back the slugs in the veggie patch. They need to be watered onto wet ground and ideally in rainy weather. As SOON as I placed my order, the rain stopped and it hasn’t rained since! 😳😂😂😂😂
