My friend has acres of garden, literally. She has three, part time gardeners. Her son (who works full time as a gardener) comes one day a week and works with another chap who tends to take the lead more on the heavy, structural tasks. She also has one person coming in for a few hours a week, to suit them, for deadheading (a serious job in borders that big) and weeding - my friend was telling me that she has let the last person doing this go and will train up her cleaner now, who lives locally, my friend gets on really well with, but knows nothing. 😊

My friend and her husband are interesting people. They do everything to EXCELLENCE. Get into meadows - hubby ends up starting up a local meadows group and becoming chairman, designs his own meadow seed collector etc. Has a farm up north he decides to build eco, social housing in for the village - it’s now becoming a leading light for energy efficient social housing. And so on.

In the nicest possible way, I always feel like a bit of an idiot around them 😉😊😂
