Thanks everyone (sorry, too worn down to tag).I spent the day washing my brain with V0yager and cross stitch, ate breakfast at lunchtime and just zoned out.Mr KK came home at 3pm, we agreed a spot and we buried him, with the little toy he and Chloe came with, at the bottom of the garden, near the pond.Feeling exhausted.Mr KK is now fretting about Chloe being run over … Is already saying he won’t have another cat if something untoward happens to her. Tbf, we have now buried three cats in this garden in 5 years 😢
Normal service will be attempted tomorrow.

I know it's hard, but he had a happy time with you. When I picked my two up from the rescue they were happy that they would be outdoor cats (they don't rehome to people living on main roads), as although there is some risk involved, they knew that they would be happy and well-cared for. I told them I didn't think I'd cope with indoor cats as I tend to have all the doors and windows open if it's warm enough... and the four months they were inside for (until they were spayed and recovered!) was quite enough. In some situations, for some cats, for certain lifestyles it works to have indoor cats, so it's worth considering. But that doesn't mean that George didn't have the best life possible, however short.6
