KajiKita said:What I would actually *like* to achieve is £150K by end of the 5 years …. 🤞 That would be a fairly ambitious stretch target, but I’m not sure how much having OPs will reduce interest costs through the 5 years.Current planned OPs would include:
- 5 x way leave payments at £76.67 p.a.
- £8 cashback per month
- £16 surveys revenue per month (I need to get back onto these again)
- £10 End of month excess from joint current account
- £100 end of month excess from me
- £4.42 ‘auto’ OP because have set the monthly payment as a fixed amount above the requirement. This will need checking with C0-0p each year.KajiKita said:
And yes, I agree. What gets measured, gets done, as they say … 😉😊
I think it helps having a realistic target (I hate failing! 😉😂) and a stretch target - I love having a vision … 🤩😊😂

Hurrah for the garlic planting 😊
That tapestry is lovely.
And you and Mr KK having a cosy safe home where you can potter and nest with your interests and come together when you want or need to sounds lovely too.
I'm glad Chloe is eating a bit more, I wouldn't worry for the next week unless there are clear signs of distress damaging her- she's bound to be out of sorts with all the missing George and change from normal, same as you. Lots of cuddles and gentleness and patience prescribed for all of you x

Wow that tapestry cushion is beautiful, never heard of that site before. It must have taken an age to choose just 1!,!!
There's about 20 I would love!
I have however got a cushion i started a long time ago (years) sitting and waiting patiently in the bottom of my wardrobe. It's not akit. It's from a tapestry book. I've changed the colours and mapped it all out and started it, but i think I stopped because I was a bit confused by it.
Task today will be to dig it out and take a look, and not buy one from that gorgeous site!!♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

that cushion is gorgeous. I gave away all my tapestry stuff when with PPH but I feel the need to purchase something as beautiful as that and do it - I will not purchase because it will just get to the long list of things to do but very tempted.Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -

I think that’s what is known as ‘shopping from home’ 😊 Good look with working it out with a fresh look! 🤞Watty1 said:that cushion is gorgeous. You know those jobs where you want to do one thing, but to do it you have to do this and that and the other job …? 🤔 We’ve had one of those days!We needed to make space for the Christmas tree in the lounge.
In the tree corner there were two bookcases at right angles to each other and slightly overlapping - Mr KK’s set up - I’ve never been happy with it ….
Task 1: KK clear floor of my bedroom and move clothes stand to make room for one of the two bookcases.
In parallel, Mr KK empty the taller of the two bookcases in the living room corner onto the living room floor.
Task 2: Mr KK empty second, smaller bookcase and move out of the corner and closer to the fireplace in the living room. Reload it.Task 3: Team KK break down, clean down and take upstairs the taller of the two bookcases. Reassemble.
Task 4: Team KK empty the other big bookcase on the other side of the opening to the snug, vacuum all the books there.
KK review the books and decide what to keep and what not. The keeps, take upstairs and try to fit into the slightly smaller bookcase ….
The not-keeps, out to the conservatory to pick through for sale or charity.Task 5: Whilst bookcase (holding all my books) on other side of snug is empty, Mr KK use the dustless sander on the section of ceiling that we had to patch after the new shower leaked through … 🙄 Slather first coat of paint on. It needs more filling and rubbing back but it is now begun 😊
Task 6: Mr KK load the cleaned bookcase that was previously mine with his books, whilst I make us both a brew.
Task 7 and ultimate intention of the exercise: Erect plastic Christmas tree to see how Madame Chloe reacts to it before we decorate it … 🤞
OP of £10.94 sent off this morning made up of TCB and QM33 😊

It's the cascade of tasks that shuts me down very quickly. I want to have the windows cleaned but it makes sense to clear the gutters first, which can't be done when there's things in the way that need to be taken to the charity shop and I need to get a lot of that stuff into the bins/tip too which is a huge task. So the windows remain dirty.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. If you need any help on these boards, do let me know.
