Such good news. And great that you will be working for an organisation that aligns with your values. This is something that I really want to do for my next move - it's been on the list previously, but never the top priority.

@debtfree@debtfreewannabe321, I’m absolutely convinced that the vision board concept you shared made a huge difference in this process. The very first question after my presentation was one that directly pointed to one of the post-its on my board …. Why that company? Because I want to work in a company that does good in the world. (They manufacture living aids - things like slings to get people in and out of the bath, seats that go in wheelchairs - all customisable to the individual user.).
I’m intending to do another vision board in a similar format for what I want my 2025 to look like …
    Thank you 🙏

@CCW007, I was quite proud of the weaving in of site examples …. 😉 I did blow my trumpet to Mr KK about that a bit. 😊😉

They wanted me to start next Tuesday! Too soon …. 😂😂 I need a few days to properly relax and finish sorting the house out.
I suggested 9th December. Means I get a couple of weeks in before Christmas and can start the new year knowing the routine and what the priorities are. I quite like that 😊

Sounds like you did an amazing interview but next Tuesday is a bit much of a quick start ... Glad you have the money budget to get an extra week off.

Great it aligns with what you want, a short commute is a good thing  and hopefully that  extra £5k  and bonuses will be with you asap
Maybe get clear on your VB on what acceptable working hours look like ;)

I keep meaning to do my new Vision Board - though I do have some pics I have torn from home decor magazines - all high end open plan  huge kitchens with amazing patios outside ...
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

The shorter commute makes so much difference, you will save 4/5 hours a week over a year that’s lot of time back and obv less petrol, wear and tear on the car etc
