Interview news please! Hoping it went well and they're thinking lovely things about the marvellous individual that was sitting in front of them.
Meanwhile absolutely very worst scenario - you can have my job. Have handed in notice of a sorts to be effective at some point. Reasons not to take it.....not full time, frustration with clients, freezing cold workplace (aka no heating) lousy pay and a massively too long a commute for you. Thanks @~FlowerPot~, @dawnybabes, @redofromstart, @skint_spice, @Watty1, @LadyWithAPlan, @beanielou 😊
And yes, thanks for the suggestion @Brie, but perhaps not …. 😊😂
I found it a strange interview … I felt like I was functioning through brain treacle, struggling to find the right words, didn’t really felt like I built a rapport with the chap interviewing me and I just found it a slog. I also think they are trying to get a LOT out of one person - within two years the person who has moved across to compliance manager and is currently going for certification to 14001 (environmental) and 25001 (H&S) will be retiring and at that point the WHOLE lot along with the medical standard legal compliance will be on the ‘Quality’ team … Hmmm ….
Their quality standards are obviously good as their CoPQ (cost of poor quality) is less than 0.5% (world class) but apparently they struggle with inefficiencies / ‘hidden factories’ - this latter aspect makes me think that they actually need a production engineer not a quality person … I could do what they need but not as quickly or effectively as someone who already knows production engineering ….
The commute would be good at only around 30 minutes…
After this I got out for a walk in the sunshine to clear my head and deliberately took photos to make me slow down and look at things. 😊 I have also done all my physio and a good dollop of yoga today 😊❤️
Made @debtfreewannabe321’s bean burgers - with cannellini beans and a shallot this time. Had one for lunch on a base of microwaved spinach and cheez sauce, as per yesterday’s experiment - added much more nooch and doubled the mustard. It was goooood … 😋
Wiped down the sideboard in the Snug and reloaded it with IN DATE(!) Christmas treats 😊 Mr KK very pleased to see this when he got home … 😉
Then headed downtown to collect my glasses - 3 pairs …! Clear driving glasses, driving sunglasses and reading glasses - does this make me officially old?? 😉😂
Whilst in the opticians my phone went … it was the recruiter for the interview this morning. I rang him back once I got out and they want me to go to second interview week after next with a presentation - topic TBA. Feeling a bit confuddled … am I just there to make up numbers? They have also sent me a behavioural questionnaire to complete.I have now confirmed the date (a week next Tuesday, 8.30am) and that I have the link for the questionnaire which I will action tomorrow.I should hear about whether Friday’s interview will lead to a stage two interview tomorrow. Tbh I want that one more - it’s a more realistic role scope, a boss I would enjoy working with, albeit with a tougher commute … 🤞
When Mr KK got home we did a ‘walk the job’ on how to install the new fridge. I need to completely empty the cupboard next to it so Mr KK can drill a bigger hole in the side of the cupboard to feed the moulded plug through. The cupboard that needs to be emptied is on my ‘hit list’ for a sort out … I’ve just been avoiding it! 😂 Need to pull on my big girl pants and get it it done. Then we can get the fridge in on Saturday morning. Tip run will then be Saturday pm or Sunday depending on the weather.Hoping to ‘play’ with one pair of my new glasses this evening to see if it makes doing embroidery easier / more fun 😊

That sounds a very productive day.
Well done on doing the interview. Is there scope for an informal call with the interviewer so you can say 'very impressed etc but it feels to me this role would be more suited to a production engineer and I wondered if you had any thoughts on that' sort of thing?3 -

PS - I am 100% certain that the culprit is George - they are big pawprints … Chloe’s are more delicate …
Who knew I would end up doing forensic analysis of muddy pawprints! 😂😂

DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
