The skimmer has FINALLY finished. 2 hours of cleaning up and washing down after him and we are still not finished … 🙄 His BACs details for payment etc came through almost as soon as he drove off! I am sooooo glad that is finally done! We will never, ever use him again!
- I have already hit 11.6K steps today 😊
- Runner bean poles all cleared away and stored in the dry, on the steps leading to the undercroft.
- Autumn planted pots cleared and replanted with bulbs. I have two more special pots that need bulbs …. I am thinking more tulips 🤩❤️
- Big special pot emptied with the help of Mr KK and then part refilled with spent compost, topped up with fresh and planted up with bulbs and violas 😊

@Watty1 I've previously taken an abandoned car tyre off the street, filled it with compost on stones and planted in it, worked lovely and might be more dog and ball-proof if you feel you can incorporate a bit of 'rustic urban' style in your space

So we have had to duck using the Cattery and ask a neighbour to feed them. Mr KK is not happy about it but I really don’t think we have a choice … 🤷♀️

When mine were small I used their crates/carriers as beds for them. They’re too heavy for the crates now, and have wooden boxes in the utility room, but I kept the folding carriers out for a while as beds, and gave them treats in them regularly. Even though they are mostly packed away now they will get into them for their treats which helps. Mind you, if I’m trapping both, I do need to make sure I’ve got them both locked in the utility room and get the more skittish one in before the greedy one… it’s taken a while but I no longer get those kinds of injuries (except with flea treatment, so we go to the vet for that).2
