sage tea is great if you have a scratchy throat.  or just that nasty claggy feeling at the back of your mouth.

teaspoon of dried safe into a tea cup.  Add very hot water and allow to brew for a few minutes.  Strain the leaves out and gargle with with warm liquid.  natural anitseptic and very soothing.

Thanks Brie. I don’t have any dried sage here, only fresh. Would fresh work?

Don't see why not - it's got all the same stuff in it.  probably need several leaves as dried compacts down so much.

for future reference you can get sage tea bags which makes life easy.  Not sure how long they last - I've probably had mine for 10 years as haven't needed many.

I've never made sage tea, but other leaves e.g. peppermint its the same instructions as the dry i.e. pour boiling water on and let it sit until its a drinkable temp. (or its strong enough) before straining.  Use about a tablespoon, just tear the leaves.  You can add a splash of lemon and some honey/sugar to taste.  I didn't realise its good for poorly throats, will have to give it a try.  Hope you feel better soon.
