Sorry, posted too early! I have been known to say to myself ‘One more day, anyone can put up with anything for one day’ on repeat until the end of said day.
Hope you have something nurturing and lovely to do this weekend.5 -
If it was me (& good thing it isn't) I would just nod when Idiot asks for the presentation and agree to do it. And say it will be done Tuesday morning. I didn't realise the management team didn't know. Eventually this will just be a distant memory and you will be glad it happened because of the doors it opened up. You will. I know. the darkest hour and all that xMade it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!1 -
Awww, I am so very pleased you got to see how your way of conducting yourself both personally and professionally is seen and appreciated by so many disparate people.
And while it was an absolute cheek for your boss to sit in on your breaking the news goodbye to your team, I am also very glad you got to see him looking sick and your team got to see you going to your 'I'm a pleasant, professional person' zone out place in response to his presence.
I try not to wish unpleasantness on anyone but I'm making an exception in his case. May he come to understand what a pure d*ckhead he is, and change his ways. And may he especially rue the day he made the lovely, clever, hard working, thoroughly capable KajiKita feel bad or stressed or insecure.

The forecast tomorrow is dry all day - HUZZAH! 🥳🎉 I nearly couldn’t get to work on Thursday due to floods on main roads … 😳 But the sun is meant to come out for a bit today 😊🌞 I have a couple of plans:- change of seasons in the greenhouse - what’s in there won’t do much more now that the light is dropping so much now, so I will strip out what’s in there, harvesting as I go (there are some good peppers and few tomatoes) and replace with some widely spaced red lettuce to overwinter. The plants I put in last winter did amazingly this spring 😊 The parsley that I grew from seed this spring is growing strongly and is nice from the greenhouse in the winter, as it grows big and gets some protection from soil splash etc.- Some months ago one of the neighbours’ dogs broke through their hedge/fence and trashed our big pond. Fortunately he didn’t damage the liner (Mr KK would have been incandescent!) but he wrecked the water lillies that were just starting to flower … 😢 Neighbour apologised profusely and gave me a £25 garden voucher, which I will spend today on spring bulbs for the patio pots and top with some violas 😊Sunday will be wet, but that will give me some downtime I will use to do some reading / knitting / cross stitch 😊

That's a good idea. I have a local farm that apparently sells bulbs by weight. I really enjoy the spring pots so I could make myself go and look.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Tempted by bulbs and pots myself - but looking out this morning my pots are all still full of sweetpeas and cosmos that aren't quite ready to be ripped out.2
