I wouldn't be staying late... or doing the slides. I might need time off to look for a job or training. What a holeAchieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I hope it is all signed off by 9.10 am I get the idea about using the slides for positive impact with your details on but the temptation to send blank slides and simply say oh no, the file must have corrupted would win for me (because i do not know how to corrupt a file but my PA will and I am more than willing for her to do it in my time if it helps)
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!2 -
I think it's a professionalism thing, and maintaining the point that it's him, not you for your own benefit and that of others. It's so hard working this last few days though. Much sympathy.
Mr Redo used to have to do a client presentation every quarter, when they would brow beat and complain about everything. Every quarter somewhere in the presentation slides or report in the word partnership he would add the letter 'F' in the hope that one day someone would say 'there is no F in partnership' so he could say 'Exactly'! (If you don't get it read out loud, apologies for the language!)My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

😂😂😂 redo, how funny 😂😂😂
I completely get your professionalism KK, and admire it. Despite me making stupid suggestions, I expect I would be behaving politely and professionally and keeping my head held high, just as you are (while still imagining all the things I *might* do if i was wicked enough).
It'll be over soon. Please tell us that Useless Report will now have to directly report to Colonel Colon? I think that would make a lot of us very happy 😂5 -
Thanks all, yet again 😊❤️
Contract signed and in my sticky mitts!Team told. They were pretty shocked. Boss insisted on sitting in and when I was telling them how well they would cope without me and how I believed in them, he looked physically sick. Boss thanked and praised me in front of the team, but I refused to look at him and totally zoned out (I realise now that I actually didn’t hear the latter half of what he said). My team have all thanked me, including ones I didn’t expect, such as our temp.
Management team told - all shocked and pretty horrified. A couple quite angry. All amazed that I am still there, battling away as hard as I am.Started clearing my desk down, brought about half my stuff home including yet more cacti I was given - what is it about offices and cacti….? 🤷♀️😉😂🤔
Took a box of H3roes into the canteen kitchen to say good bye (it was their last day before closing for a month for refurbishment) and to thank them for being kind to me and accommodating my various food fussinesses. They were disappointed too.I have had all kinds of random people, including ones I wouldn’t expect in sales, product management etc, thanking me, hugging me, saying what a difference I have made, how they will miss me, wishing me well for my future etc. It’s all been a bit full on ….
And yes, if I continue to strive and do my very best, it makes my boss’s decision look even stranger, to everyone around him.
One. More. Day. …..

Aw, bless you. I hadn't realised just how many people didn't know. I'm so glad people have been supportive today - I imagine this will make people very wary of him if they weren't already.
Deep breaths. A calming weekend and then yes, one more day. I hope you have something cheerful planned for Monday night and next week xxx5 -
What a day! I’m not surprised you are utterly exhausted. But confirmation that everyone else apart from that man has reacted like that.5
