Yes, that look of panic and dawning realisation will be worth its weight in gold! Prize Juggins is about to enter a world of pain and it's all his fault. You are so much better than this @KajiKita and wonderful things lie ahead love Humdinger xx3

So good to hear about your peeps off calm cheerfulness too xx3 -
Obviously if he doesn't know what you do, he doesn't know how much detail is needed for the handover - a week isn't long, so he may well have a lot of regrets later. I was in this position years ago although my position was being made redundant - when it got to the hand over session and my boss asked what I did so they could work it out, one of the team in the room who was a union rep shut the conversation down pointing out that my role was being made redundant because they didn't need me to do my job - which they could only have decided if they knew what I did
I would also suggest ensuring that the documentation makes clear that you're not being held responsible for any issues/failures (particularly if you have upset clients visiting soon). I heard from an ex-colleague that I was being blamed for something after I left - a strongly-worded message to my ex-boss soon put a stop to that.6 -
Some great advice here .Glad you finding some peace in this difficult process - & next Monday week you will be dancing
sounds like you leaving before these big chiefs arrive is a good thing .. but boss may indeed try to hoist blame on you . Are you in the construction industry ? I am sure you grabbing people’s contact details etc so when you are ready you will find a new job easilyDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Thanks @Humdinger1 😂
@Cheery_Daff, I’m wondering if the scrutiny the site is under is why he’s getting rid of me? 🤷♀️ Makes it look like he’s being bold and decisive? However, not my problem any more … 😉
@greenbee, I’m not worried about being a scapegoat in this context. The people that matter to me know the truth and if I have blame heaped on me in absentia, it may ease the pressure on the rest of the management team and buy them a bit more time to sort stuff out (the site is still about a year from functioning properly I think).@LadyWithAPlan, not in construction, manufacturing. I have plenty of referees’ details and offers of references.Weather forecast here is dreadful today, so apart from a tip run that we have booked for this afternoon I won’t be going out much!
I have a mess to clean up in the cellar (melted onions 😳🤢) and will try and tidy up the potting shed.KKAs at 15.08.25:

Thanks @beanielou and @redofromstart 😊
Onions vanquished! Have also cleaned bathroom and loo and washed and dried three loads.Toscos delivery wrangled.Home insurance done and then had to sit on hold for 33 minutes to speak to current provider to cancel their auto renewal … 🙄Tip run done this afternoon with Mr KK to get rid of old shower screens, rubble from the rendering prep, the TV (we did try other leads / connectors and i tried to call a local TV repair company but they didn’t pick up) and various other random things.Financial updates done.
Some small progress on working out minimum my income needs. I’m finding that working on this is *REALLY* tapping up my panic, so I have to do a bit and then step away from it again. (This is probably why I struggled to even start this task.)Much knitting - ready to cast off the shoulders of the back section, whilst watching more Loocifer 😊
I am incredibly tired. I’m struggling to think straight or for long periods of time. TG only one more week to go.KKAs at 15.08.25:

You are doing SO well. I reckon wait til you've finished to do your minimum income calculations if it's causing you such a headache. A week won't make a difference, and you're head will likely be much clearer once you've left. Don't make life difficult for yourself if you can avoid it xxx6
