Glad you made his eyes pop. Would have preferred if his head exploded but one can't have everything.

Well done KK xxx That sounds really hard, and super well done to you for staying polite and professional - while he doesn't deserve that courtesy, it may help give ammunition to HR and the union rep to help the next people. Well done on negotiating what you wanted as well.
Don't be too helpful over the next few days though! Perhaps you could accidentally forget to leave relevant passwords when you go??

Such a difficult conversation. Huge hugs for you. I hope you feel some relief despite the negativity of him. I used to refuse to let managers say anything tbh for exactly the reasons you say. It isn't the time to be scoring points.
in my experience, from both sides, generally once that numbers conversation has taken place then it grinds on to a conclusion fairly quickly. Depends how long it takes them to write the agreement, and for your legals to complete. If it's the union solicitors it's generally a few days.My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

Sending you a virtual hug and a well done for behaving so professionally
in 6 months this will all be forgotten drama and you will be grateful as it will have kickstarted action to a new great jobDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Well done on making the meeting alongside your union rep happen, well done for keeping your cool when your boss was chatting bullsh*t about you (and in front of other people! Not that we expect any differently from him but what a lack of graciousness let alone professionalism), and well done on achieving nearly half a years pay. That will stand you in very good stead, and I find it very unlikely you'll be out of work that long unless you choose to be because you can make it work for you.
Of course you then went into meetings where you helped find solutions to fundamental issues. Don't think that your colleagues won't have noticed that and all the work you've done, whilst putting up with nonsense. You will not be lacking in opportunitieshttps://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6466032/an-in-between-phase

5.5 months sounds good to me. Don't forget there'll be no travel costs or packed lunches etc. Make sure you have that rest you were talking about, you deserve it. Sounds like that will see you through until spring if necessary
. Well done.
