  • Pah indeed to 'to the rest of you it is not a significant thing', that is so impressive to have bothered attempting let alone it being so good Mr KK ate it all up!
    Proud of you.
And you smashed the rest of the productive day too!

Did Mr KK have a good time away? (Other than pining for you, of course)

OMG losing the fear of yeast is a total game changer!! well done you 👏👏👏 you clever girl!  It is HUGE!!  Pizza bases, then focaccia, then rolls, then sweet ones .... So much tastier, you know exactly what is in it, and you can have fun tinkering and experimenting.  It is so much fun pairing the rolls to the soup!  or the filling! Plus if you shove it in the fridge it is like pressing the pause button so you can deal with it later.
Congratulations 🎉  I still can't make a slicing loaf though. I no longer care though 😁
I cracked loaf making and was doing it regularly, but the smell was too tempting and the whole family would devour it with lots of butter as soon as it came out of the oven - not even waiting for it to cool!  Good but not for the waistline so I stopped

Thanks for the reminder of how lovely homemade pizzas are @kajikita, but I've completely forgotten how, need to remind myself and have a pizza night next weekend.  Another one who hasn't made focaccia any pointers to a good recipe @f0xh0les?  I'm guessing we could also freeze rolls at some point in the process?  Freshly baked bread is so lovely, but if I could bake a couple or rolls that might be better (rather than devouring a good part of a loaf).

The plums sound delicious, reminded me of some poached pears in red wine I had at a dinner a few year's back and that I always meant to try making myself.  Yum.

  • There are very few things less zen than nagging someone for months to do a 75 minute phone call, and at 7am 😂 I hope you talked about how he's unhappy in his work!

Had some lovely poached pears when I was in Ireland a couple of years back.  Think they poached them just in a light sugar water with anise in it - lush!
