Bayeux. We went to Normandy for our honeymoon and Mr KK stayed actually in Bayeux last summer on a boys trip - it sounded so lovely I was jealous! So that’s where the dreaming / planning began 😊

I have to say, I prefer having physical symptoms than the low level ‘drag’ of feeling utterly bleak, pointless and miserable. That is really hard to battle against. Whereas with physical symptoms (for me) I can be kind to myself with meds, rest and lower my expectations. It’s harder with the mental drag as I never ‘see’ it until it stops. Does this make sense?KKAs at 15.08.25:

Perfectly explained. hope the cloud lifts soon
(feeling a little smug as do have a will, not an ideal will but it was written in a hurry whilst the ex was still living in the house, I left everything to two friends to make sure the horses were cared for as I knew at that point whilst the properties were in joint names the ex would get them unless I made a quick provision but I also was fairly sure he would not be particularly helpful to anyone trying to look after the animals so I discussed the options with two friends and left them the lot, knowing they would do the right thing by everyone including my sister's children and even if they didn't that my animals would be cared for.).Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became
In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!5 -
Today, I have:
- Dealt with neighbour who’s huge dogs came crashing through our garden this morning, swimming in our big wildlife pond and racing around. The water Lillie’s are damaged, just as they started flowering 😢, a couple of pots got tipped over 🤷♀️ and our best native orchid has had it’s flower head ripped off 😢😢😢 Mr KK was raging - he caught one of the dogs and dragged it back round next door, making it very clear to one of the neighbours that he was not happy! I am gutted especially for the orchid … Neighbour then came and knocked on the door to apologise and explain that the hedge got cut back last week and the dogs had jumped it 🙄 I explained that I was quite upset as if I’d been here on my own I would have been okay with one of the dogs (big, easygoing lab) but not the other one which is only 10 months old, is already huge and won’t listen to me (it was jumping all over me last week when I was round at the neighbours getting our signatures witnessed). I was also bitten as a child by a big dog, so a dog that doesn’t respond to me makes me anxious. I suggested that I go round there to do training with this dog so if it did end up in our garden again I would feel more confident about dealing with it. The neighbour blocked the gap and is going to reinstate the electric fence.
- Emptied the vanity unit in the bathroom so Mr KK could remove that, the loo and the rest of the tiles. All done. Found lots of toiletries worth reusing buried at the back / in the bottom of the unit and binned a load of other stuff that was vile for one reason or another.- Wrangled Mr KK’s washing, cooked lunch and washed up whilst he did all of the above and PVA’d and skimmed the wall in the bathroom. (He cooked dinner this evening 😊)
- Mr KK popped out to localish town to buy a loft ladder with wide treads for £25 - he is very pleased with this 😊
- Gardened, and gardened and gardened - on 12K steps which is a record for a Sunday for me! Cleared c. 7 barrow loads of weeds and various overgrowth. Planted almost everything left that needed planting. Can’t actually move much now … 😂💪 Garden patch looks prettier 🤩❤️
Must shower and do all my food things for tomorrow, then I can fall over 😉

Ahem. No falling over. That's my thing.
Dire about the dogs. I don't like big dogs as I am afraid they will knock me over.

Oh big eeks about the dogs. At the least the neighbour is being decent about it.
What a very productive day for you both! Hope that means you're feeling a bit better (or at least will after a humongous sleep)
