I've only ever had one bit of time properly without Mr Cheery since we met - he went away for a fortnight without me in 2018. Aside from that, he's never been away for more than a night without me, and then not very often, and I don't think I've had more than 2 or 3 nights at a time away, and then only for work. That fortnight was an odd one! We'd only been in this new house for about 6 months, so I wasn't really used to being by myself in the middle of nowhere. I ended up inviting people to stay at the weekends, and was working in the week anyway. These days I crave more time on my own - I try to manage an evening a week when he's out, but even that doesn't always happen! We do do a lot of stuff separately though, and have plenty of space here, so even though we're both here today, I've actually only seen him once for about 5 minutes in the last 6 hours 😂

@Cheery_Daff, I do think time alone is important, or it is for both of us as I suspect we are both introverts and that’s how we recharge. 

Been watching some interesting documentaries on iPlayer this weekend about the setting up and evolution of Israel. So much loss and damage that echoes down the generations, all round ….

- Got Mr KK’s washing out on the line this morning 👍
- Untwazzled the entire length of the garden hose and managed to reach the amalanchier at the bottom of the garden so was able to give it a good soak. 😊 Also filled two watering cans off the water butts for using in the greenhouse this week - they are slow to fill, so filled in the waiting time on the veggie patch pulling bindweed. So far we are not yet engulfed this year …. 🤞 
- Also, this morning, I FINALLY started on the bed of doom in the veggie patch … Spent an hour on it and cleared c. 1/6th of it. It got too hot in the end, I was starting to melt! 
- Popped out to the local cheap DIY place and picked up a soft headed brush on a long handle for cleaning the greenhouse, a ‘get well soon’, big, red funnel for Mr KK and also a cheapie metal arch to go over a path in the veggie patch to grow climbing beans over and add a bit more interest. 

- In the heat of the day I settled down in the potting shed and sowed French beans, French climbing beans and runner beans. They are a bit late but I’m sure they will catch up. 

- Washed down the worst of the greenhouse gunk which was on the outside of it. Glad that’s done. 

- Thunder and intermittent but heavy rain when it comes, has now stopped play in the garden. Now I’ve cooled off a bit I should go and clean the bathroom shouldn’t I … 😉

Bathroom is clean, all general house waste bins emptied.
Chloe caught and killed a bird … 😢

I bet she is so pleased and proud of herself too. 

I need to add some more climbing beans to replace the ones the slugs got.

I suppose technically I should be celebrating her ‘first kill’ but because it was a bird I can’t bring myself to ….

My worst cat moment was when the old boys brought the then a baby, maybe three months old,  little cat a slightly stunned squirrel into the house for her to practice on. It was bigger than her.  She screamed, I screamed, it screamed, they chased it out doing 'bunch of useless losers', etc. 

so many veg things potted on and planted out this weekend and a rather splendid vest top tan.

I’ve done quite a lot this weekend too. Still so much to do …. Forehead is radioactively glowing! Oops …
