That session sounds great, good for you for doing it- and he's right, you are in a good position so don't be so hard on yourself!3

I think that someone like you would be both scary and refreshing for anyone providing financial advice. The fact that you know things should make things easy for them but also challenges them to find something you don't already know.

@skint_spice, thank you. You’ve made Mr KK feel better - our cats are ignoring it atm! 😂😂🤷♀️
@PennysIntoPounds - thank you. I just want to feel safe and secure and I think that today’s call has given me the beginnings of a plan to achieve this … 😊
@Brie, to be fair to him, the reason I chose him is because he is deliberately different to most FAs - he is very focused on empowering and educating those he works with as clients.KKAs at 15.08.25:

Being and feeling as safe and secure as possible is the best aim any of us could wish for/work towards. But I'll just sneak in a timely loving nag- you are safe and secure. Mr KK is a good 'un, you have a home and garden you can afford to pay for that also has scope for projects you'll enjoy, you have a job that doesn't sound like it gives you more grief than most jobs, and you have skills and intellect and health to change that any time you like, and you have friends in the actual and online world who care about you.
Absolutely get on with your plan to be even more safe and secure, but stop doing yourself down, woman! You are safe and secure so remember to enjoy that too3 -
Very impressive catio. Are you going to put in things for them to climb etc? I don't know whether you have any old logs or tree stumps they could use to scratch their claws on?
Your financial coach sounds good. Better than others I've heard of on here. Very nice of him to offer a free session to your DH.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised by how upfront and constructive he was. I will talk it all though with Mr KK towards the end of the week. Tonight is not the time - he’s too burnt out by the whole day he’s spent at his mum’s etc.

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!3 -
