hi there, from what i have come to know about you from this forum, i think you would be a really good celebrant. We chose a 'spiritiual' lady to be the celebrant for my sisters funeral a couple of years ago and she was amazing, she led us through everything and was highly organised and had lots of ideas and then listened carefully and incorporated our ideas too. My sis felt a ladybird was one of her animal spirit guides and we had a few small ladybirds pictures and was wowed by the fact she had placed a ladybird pin on her shoe on that day. it was a wonderful touch. (We also witnessed 2 real ladybirds fyling around me, my mum and my brother during the graveside service, which was pretty incredible as it was November!)Anyway only mentioning this beacuse I think you could be like this lady and make a very difficult day into something quite special.{{{hugs to you and your family at this sad time}}}♥️ ♥️ ♥️🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸🌸Decluttering 2025 So far 403 / 2025

When we had a round of redundancies at work one chap mentioned that he was going to take the opportunity to become a celebrant. I had no idea that people did that as a job, in fact actually had to ask him what he meant. But it made perfect sense for him. He was a lovely calm individual and was known in the department as being well prepared to question executives when we did silly company wide calls. And he'd been a member of Toast Masters for a number of years so had practiced public speaking which obviously helped prepare him as well.
I can imagine you being a wonderful calming influence at a time of great emotion for many people.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. @South_coast, @~FlowerPot~, @Brie - thank you for being encouraging 😊 180 degrees to my mother’s reaction … 🙄😉🤷♀️
Spent a lot of time in the garden today 😊 Mainly focused on our little courtyard which needed a good clear out and tidying up ….
Before:
Lots of foliage but difficult and slippery to get to the hosepipe, too many dead pots and lots of weeds! Also, the ferns I put in 3 years ago, whilst they have grown outwards well haven’t grown up enough to hide the waste pipe. After:
Himalayan Honeysuckle chopped back vigorously - it’s suprising how much light it robs from this east facing space.Picked up half a bag of rubble from the building works in the living room, cleared the weeds and the moss within the route to the hose tap. Removed and emptied all the dead pots!I have relocated the bronze fern that was in the middle of the big bed and relocated it to under the hose. I have then planted the azalea I bought yesterday at the back - hoping this will grow up enough to cover the waste pipe 😉 and replanted the smothered fuschia that was under the bronze fern.Mr KK came in with some muscle and a mattock and hoicked out the resprouting root stump of the dill that took over the space last year. 😊❤️I then found three blue pots from around the garden to take the begonias that I found cheap at the garden centre yesterday and gently potted up this morning - white, pink and peach. Pots are in place to remind me and give a feel of how it will look.I still have space to put some of my blue lobelia that I bought yesterday 😊Really quite pleased with what I have got done today 😊

A job well done.Forgot to mention, I found a sticking up, headless screw in one of the slabs by the pond 😳 Absolutely lethal for feet, knees or hands if they had come down on it. It looks like it snapped off when Mr KK removed the piece of ‘footer’ wood he screwed in place to support the ladder whilst setting up the new flue for the wood burner. He was shocked when he saw it and whacked it off with a bar. Near miss for both of us I think!KKAs at 15.08.25:
