    Have you read Hagseed by Margaret Atwood? Might be an interesting one to get your student warmed up on Shakespeare if he hasn't encountered before

    It's also not the easiest book but like all Atwood very readable, and for a teenage boy if intimidated by Shakespeare, then reading about adults, especially men who are convicts also learning it, might make it seem less lonesome and help get used to some of the language in a less full on context

    This sounds like a kind thing to do.  I know as someone who is not religious that it's a bit weird at times when someone says they are praying for me or whatever.  But I've learned to take this at face value of wishing me well as I know that it's coming from a good place.  Hoping your aunt finds peace.
