My cousin has asked for any photos or stories we could share of her mother from happier times. Too tired tonight but will try tomorrow / at the weekend. Once I know the date of the funeral I will book a day’s leave. I also need new black trousers - mine are too worn to be presentable.

I think finding some memories and images of more positive times will help. It sounded like she'd given up on life towards the end. Hope you manage to find something to do that lights you up - and not the drudgery of more chores after work. There's a balance to be had...

@Brie, I know but actually I quite like wearing black to funerals - for me it helps to ground the unreality of the whole thing. I have a long, fitted, fine woollen coat that I got in Ladakh that is black but has bright, textured embroidery all down the front panels - that is what I typically wear to funerals. 

Car is acting up again with the same fault! 🙄😢🤯

Cleared, cleaned and sorted a shelf in the kitchen whilst I hard boiled some eggs for our lunches tomorrow - this is a win 😊

Fed the Floof Monster a pouch of ‘second class’ food this evening - which was inhaled! Also a win 😊
