The steam press was ace for work shirts and school uniform but magically I stopped ironing just before lockdown as I had cleared the basket the week before and nobody ever went back to work or school.Small cats loved sunbathing on the press afterwards. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

FWP - need to think of what to wear on Saturday night when I go out for dinner with Mr KK (he is treating me for my birthday on Monday - having already added to my compost bins 😊). My black jeans seem to have got some bleach or similar on them and I rarely wear anything else to go out in …. Don’t want to spend money …. Will have to ferret through my wardrobe for something he won’t be embarrassed to see me in - when not in work my taste tends towards the flowing / slightly hippy which excruciates Mr KK 😉😂
KK flowing/slightly hippy sounds great and v my style during the summer at least - what does Mr KK want fashion wise?? At least he sounds great at DIY!DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

@LadyWithAPlan, Tbh Mr KK would appreciate me looking ‘conventional’ and also tbh, if I looked ‘conventional’ he almost wouldn’t notice if I wore a bin bag! 😂😂😂😂
He’s a lovely, lovely guy and very patient with me, just not well travelled or with a wide life experience so some of my more ‘bohemian’ inclinations scare / unsettle him a little I think 😉😂 He does remarkably well with my parents though - very polite, articulate, helpful and determined to find common ground (old vehicles, bees and a game effort at physics with my dad, architecture and history with my mum) - that in itself makes him worth his weight in gold for me ❤️

I, on the other hand, get BF moaning that I look too conventional 🙄 "Glitzy" is his preferred way that I should apparently look - I mean, what does that even mean 🤷♀️?Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed
Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!4 -

But, it’s very open to interpretation.I would ask him a) what he means by it and b) what he likes about it. Being asked about it and having to explain it, might help challenge his expectations of your appearance?

£5.38 cashed out from QM33 and a further 250 points gained on Pr1me opinion so well on my way to my next £5 there. I think this month has been better for survey income - I shall do a tot up in early November compared to the previous three months and see how I‘ve done.Had a chat late last night with a colleague in the US about how to give ‘blunt’ feedback to a customer where they have massive over expectations of the life span of one of our products, and have woken this morning with some lovely oleaginous words and phrases to fluff up the ‘to the point’ draft I created yesterday. I think this is going to work …. 😊
Payday today 🎉🍾🥳 so will do a money shuffle this evening, including paying off the CC balance for the month and topping up various savings pots and see if any additional OP is possible. I suspect not, due to house spend over the last month, but …. 🤞
