Hurrah for Mr KK.  Boo to Cat though I think it's nice that it knew to have some salad with it's rodent!!

Happy birthday and hope you're soon enjoying snuggling Cat (sans mouse) & Mr in front of the lovely fireplace.

just catching up and had to post to say how gorgeous that fireplace is.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!

    Belated happy birthday.

    The fireplace looks great.

Lovely to have an unexpected harvest too.

    Thanks @Watty1 and @savingholmes 😊

As predicted, another manager has had no choice but to snaffle my fairly new (technical role) engineer. The manager did at least tell me first and I do have some sympathy - it took me 9 months and a sociopath I had to sack at two weeks in, after due process, to finally find someone! 😂 I told the other manager I wanted a finders fee! 😉 So that means starting to recruit, yet again …. (I cordially loathe our recruitment process - just hideously complicated and clunky for both recruiting manager and candidates - I bypass as much of it as I can!)  fortunately for a less technical, more quality focused role (the responsibilities have been shuffled, hence the need for the other manager to recruit.)
My new machine seems to have lifted the mood of everyone on site 😊 It’s amazing how many people are excited and / or pleased about it 😊

Made one small crumb of progress this evening - wrapped the books that my friends want and have listed the rest on a book selling app for c. £9. Need to get them packed and to the parcel collection point that fortunately is en route for my commute 😊 Also sent a friend who I was in sangha with years ago, some Kaji. He’s been in the wars and nearly lost his leg to a clot last year and is still tying to recover from the nerve damage. Kinda puts things into perspective …..
