Happy birthday, just love the fireplace x2

Hurrah for Mr KK. Boo to Cat though I think it's nice that it knew to have some salad with it's rodent!!
Happy birthday and hope you're soon enjoying snuggling Cat (sans mouse) & Mr in front of the lovely fireplace.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on Debt Free Wannabe, Old Style Money Saving and Pensions boards. Thank you @skint_spice, @redofromstart, @Tescodealqueen, @beanielou, @FourSeasons and @Brie 😊
I am having a lovely, chilled day here. Very much to my surprise as he’d already topped up my compost bins with more pieces recently, Mr KK had bought me some jewellery - just my thing; an opal set of earring and pendant - just the right sizes for wearing in work ❤️ I am doing a bit but also just being and reading - happy sigh ….
Doings:
- all financial updates done, had to record loads of little OPs I had forgotten I had made 😊
- the £25 T3sco voucher I gleaned from a survey site some weeks ago has been found, printed out and finally spent on stock items (mainly coffee for Mr KK and cat food, so that’s those two individuals sorted for a bit! 😂)
- posted back the box my dad sent me honey in last week - it is very well travelled that box, judging by the labels it has been here at least once before 😊
- finished what I think is my 50th book of the year 😊
Must go and cook some of the less healthy spuds - with green bits or immediate holes and get the rest into the cellar. Also want to cook a batch of farro wheat. Might spend some time in the garden this afternoon or do chest of drawer wrestling …. 😉

Thanks @Watty1 and @savingholmes 😊As predicted, another manager has had no choice but to snaffle my fairly new (technical role) engineer. The manager did at least tell me first and I do have some sympathy - it took me 9 months and a sociopath I had to sack at two weeks in, after due process, to finally find someone! 😂 I told the other manager I wanted a finders fee! 😉 So that means starting to recruit, yet again …. (I cordially loathe our recruitment process - just hideously complicated and clunky for both recruiting manager and candidates - I bypass as much of it as I can!) fortunately for a less technical, more quality focused role (the responsibilities have been shuffled, hence the need for the other manager to recruit.)My new machine seems to have lifted the mood of everyone on site 😊 It’s amazing how many people are excited and / or pleased about it 😊
Made one small crumb of progress this evening - wrapped the books that my friends want and have listed the rest on a book selling app for c. £9. Need to get them packed and to the parcel collection point that fortunately is en route for my commute 😊 Also sent a friend who I was in sangha with years ago, some Kaji. He’s been in the wars and nearly lost his leg to a clot last year and is still tying to recover from the nerve damage. Kinda puts things into perspective …..
