Got chuggered at the petrol station on my way home. Just what I didn’t need and he was really grumpy with me, in spite of me being polite to him. 😢
Proper tired. Looking forward to bedtime!

Made a small step forward: packed up the books and got them in the car to hopefully send off tomorrow (never done an Evri drop off before so not exactly sure how it works ….) 🤞
Cashed out £2.48 from weareate - that will take a few days to turn up.Also earned enough points to cash out £5 from Pr1meO - that has already been sent off as an OP. Good start to the month 😊
Changing my sheets tonight and will continue reading The Salt Path 😊

Hit 10K steps! 😊
I spent some money on myself today - bought a new pair of jeans and a top. First non-work clothes I have bought in c. 3 years. Also, managed to find a new naiil brush, beeswax polish for our new mantlepiece and black dye for my old jeans. Not sure if the latter will work, but what do I have to lose? 🤷♀️😊
THE CHEST OF DRAWERS HAS (finally) LEFT MY BEDROOM!!! 🎉🥳🍾🤩😊
This has exposed some other areas of mess to deal with, but that can be followed up on 😉KKAs at 15.08.25:

Had another good day 😊
- Mr KK sanded down / wire wooled the mantlepiece and then beeswaxed it and it looks perfect now 😊❤️🤩
- I did my dreaded cleaning chores 👏
- various laundry tasks
- cooked a batch of farro wheat and portioned up to freeze so I have portions of resistant starch, high fibre, high protein ‘stuff’ to dress soups etc with
- requested a pass for Mr KK’s van to use the local tip so we can stop using my poor little car! (Been meaning to do that for months and we have a whole load more rubble due to appear soon, with the installation of new windows …)
- had a session in the garden - got the next batch of germinated Broad beans in the ground (the bed is full now) and 4 packets of bulbs; carmassia, glory of the snow and crocus 😊
- cooked a ‘concoction’ as a batch for work lunches (recording here for reference):
~~ 250g mushrooms chopped fairly finely
~~ 2 chopped, mid sized red onions
~~ good dollop of garlic
~~ 2 tins chopped tomatoes
~~ two small bay leaves
~~ pack of ‘sunflower hack’
~~ 1 cup of water
~~ good squeeze of tomato puree~~ cook down for an hour and then added the cashew cream that has been lurking in my freezer for months from the aborted management team building cooking thing that never happened … 🙄
Tastes okay actually 😊👍
- listed the chest of drawers on FBMP and had a bite within 30 minutes and it has just gone, for £50! 🎉😊
