Managed to get some time in the garden today, in between random, non-forecasted(!) showers and all my spring sown plants are now in the ground and the first lot of my summer sown perennials, so they can all get their toes in over the coming weeks 😊
My thalictrum I grew from seed c. 3 years ago is looking gorgeous - almost luminous ❤️ Love, love, love this plant. I want more, everywhere! One to add to the seed list this winter 😊 I’m not going to bother with spring bedding this autumn - I always find that it is only just getting going by May which is when I want to rip it out and put my dahlias etc in. Year after year it happens that I get past the summer solstice and my summer plants are still not all in the ground. I have had a suggestion that you can plant bulbs at the back of beds (from the viewing direction) or along the foot of walls for spring colour, so that’s what I will do this autumn 😊
Made biscuits, subbed out pine nuts and put in Brazil nuts - lushness on a plate! 🤩
Book shuffling is going well. We were going to move the 1kea cube unit thing out into the potting shed and start building up the wardrobe / craft cupboard this evening but we are both shattered, so it will be tomorrow now 😊
Overall it’s been a good weekend but would love not to be going back to work tomorrow …. Three more weeks to my week off! 😉KKAs at 15.08.25:

Good day in work today. Had my half year PDA with my boss and he actually gave me genuine positive feedback and genuinely useful constructive feedback as well. 👍Raised the e-req for a new member of staff (incoming goods inspector) after the second attempt as I had directed it for authorisation to the wrong business line 🙄 and drafted a job description for it. Also prepped two of my team’s PDA reviews 😊At home, spread a bag of bark on the path and part of the sit spot border 😊 🌸 and helped Mr KK lift all the bits of the ‘craft cupboard’ up the stairs and assemble it whilst I also cooked dinner! Shattered now but happy 😊 He’s measured up for the ply for the dividers and shelves.I found myself doing stretching in the work kitchen whilst waiting for the kettle to boil today (lots of gardening and shifting furniture at the weekend) and I’m sure that really helped me keep my concentration going this afternoon 😊

Glad you are enjoying your book Kajikita. Mine are just piling up on the bedside table, soon to be creating a falling hazard. I looked up the date it was published - 1984 - almost 40 years ago. It will be interesting to hear how you find it reading now. I also noticed they made it into a film in 2017, with Timothy Spall, who always seems to be in good movies so I might watch that if its available Pr1me.

Just had to buy a new kettle as the spare from the cellar that replaced the one that failed on Friday is also caput! It’s a staggeringly ugly but cheap one from B3ko and should attract some TCB 😊
We have had a night off tonight - we both said to each when we got home that we needed a rest tonight. The weather is pretty wet here so we are having a breather and Mr KK is postponing putting the hole in the lounge wall as this weekend’s forecast is dire. We will finish the craft cupboard and clear the living room so we can properly dust sheet it over the next week.
