MissRikkiC said:A night off sounds nice. I have had a similar day on account of needing some R&R although did get some stuff done in the garden!
Tomorrow should be slightly less intense so hopefully I should have the bandwidth to do a bit after work ….
Very grateful for a quiet evening tonight though 😊

Bit tired - work is crazy hectic still, but I seem to be largely surfing over the top of it all and just about keeping everything spinning. There are lots of fortuitous and linking synergies starting to happen and I *think* I can *finally* see my new team creating its own momentum …..Had a very in-depth conversation with the FC about how to quantify/justify the savings expected from the project I am working on (there was an ambitious guess made at start of project that I wasn’t party to!). I think she enjoyed it as much as I did and I learned a lot. Now I have much delving and digging to do ….Mr KK has worked on my craft cupboard this evening - he’s got the shelves done and hopefully the dividing supports and doors will happen tomorrow! I have been working on book categorisation - all on the ground floor though, thankfully 😊 I think most of the book shuffling is done now.KKAs at 15.08.25:

The sit spot border is filling out a little. I walk past it very morning from the tap to the greenhouse so thought I would share a picture with you 😊
Very pleased with it. Even the poor starve and battered Hibiscus is recovering a bit and put on a fresh leaf and Mr KK is far happier with it. It’s not the riot of colour I would like it to be, but that comes next year! 😉 Just so pleased it is not the monotone, monochrome weedy muddle that it was last year. ❤️

And yes, the grass needs cutting!! It keeps raining ….!! 😂
I will recut the edge this winter to be a smoother curve. That one you see was cutting around things I was trying to keep …. Ahem! Now the grass is filling in the gaps a bit, I should be able to smooth it off.

Awwww …. Thank you everyone 😊❤️
It’s being a tough week and then last night kind of added to it.Went to the dentist after work to get a crown fitted. It was rougher, harsher experience than I expected. He was in a foul mood - IT and staffing issues and I think he dropped some etching liquid on my lip - I seem to have a burn! Glad that’s done for a bit … yet another further £300 lighter as well (£700 in total!). 🙄In other, more cheerful news, the e-req for my new inspector has been approved! I thought it would take weeks as all senior people seem to be on leave atm, but I got the email! 😊Mr KK has cut all the grass last night including the meadow sections - the garden looks 10x bigger and loads better for it, calmer somehow. 😊 I still have the edges to do but I hope I can get those done this evening.I was so late back and jangly after the dentist and with strict instructions not to eat on that side of my mouth, so I thought a chippy run would be the easy option. I was waiting for 30 minutes which meant I was quite late eating. We then discovered the boiler isn’t producing hot water any more (Mr KK managed a hot shower, I had a cold strip wash! 🥶) and it was so hot last night I barely slept.Ugh …. Can’t wait for today to end, but I have a LOT of meetings …. Sigh ….
