    Thank you 😊
Work was better - I made massive progress on my team’s PDAs but the boiler is pretty kaput so we have no hot water until next week at the earliest and we have no electric shower 😳🥶 Crossing my fingers that the plumber can get the part. 🤞
Did manage to mow and trim the edges of all my beds this evening and with all the work Mr KK has done out there as well, it’s looking a lot tidier 😊
Mr KK has been downloading stills from the wildlife camera we have at the bottom of the garden. As well as next door’s cat, Mr KK mowing, the deer 🙄 we also got a fox and a hodgepig!!! 🦔 🤩❤️😊 Squee!

Felt really tired after lunch so went to bed and have had a nana-nap. Feeling a bit better. Think the week has been catching up with me.

Managed to get my two loads of washing out on the line today and they are dry enough, in spite of all the showers, to just air out on the clothes horse in the conservatory, so that’s quite a win 😊👍

Both kitchen bins emptied and relined.
Took a hot kettle up for my not-shower tonight - transformative! 😉😊
Made a start on filling the craft cupboard. Found quite few things that can go to the charity shop already (some small towels, a single duvet and sheet that should have gone with the bed but I couldn’t find them when that went) and hoping to find more. I will make a start on the craft stuff stacked up in the conservatory tomorrow.
I have discovered that the cupboard door catches on the glass ceiling light shade by c. 1/2 inch. I have shown Mr KK and we discussed whether I need to buy a smaller shade. He thinks he has the scope to shorten the ceiling rose cable 😊 Hopefully that will happen tomorrow too.

The restorative power of a nap! It’s sometimes just what you need, DS was banging about downstairs last night then got up about 7am and woke me then too… he went back to bed but I was wide awake from then on. I think my afternoon nap saved me killing him! He’s staying with his GF tonight 😅

Blimey! I would have been growling! 😉😂
I have quite strict boundaries about noise after a certain time!
Glad you enjoyed your nap. Let’s hope we both still sleep tonight.

Well I didn’t sleep that well, awake for c. an hour in the middle of the night thinking about work …. 🙄 I was convinced that I had found the answer to a challenge in work and my brain wouldn’t let it go - I really hadn’t … 😉

Cooked some green lentils this morning ready for making a batch of completely non-UPF bolognese later. Mr KK will make his bolognese batch this afternoon.

Sub-Parish council, subterfuge meeting this morning - the clerk and the chair are both planning to resign and I’d be interested in the clerk role if I can avoid the treasurer bit (they are still using a cheque book etc!).

Cooking after that followed by tidying and clearing tasks in the garden. Need to pick my runner beans. After recent efforts I have gaps in my borders so will take a run out to the local plant centre to see what pretties I can find as well 😊 Must also spend time on the financials and loading up The Cupboard, though if the latter runs into next week it won’t be the end of the world.

Financial updates for the week done. Blimey August is spendy month so far! I had forgotten that I had to buy a new kettle last week, all the spends on the house, the big (£600) dental bill, plus other bits and pieces …. <metaphorically freezes credit card!> Don’t think I will be making much of an OP when I get paid this month …. Sigh …

Did TTs of 20p from my current account to my savings and 53p from our joint account to OP this morning. QM33 has become hopeless again - making very little progress there this week.

I see on the Tescoh’s website when placing next week’s booking for delivery, that we have £16.50 of vouchers so they are building usefully for c-mas 😊
The groceries bill this week was significantly over budget at £179 - there were some long term things in there such as restocking AA batteries, olive and cooking oil and toiletries, but even so I think I am going to have to increase our actual budget to £650 a month to be realistic.

On a happier note, the feel of the spare room / office / craft room is lovely now - all wood; boards, doors, bookcase etc. and already it looks calmer and clearer. Didn’t spend a huge amount on this project:
    - £10 bookcase (thank you Universe via FBMP)
    - £20 wardrobe (ditto)
    - £36.47 for paint, sanding discs and handles
    - £13.96 for shelf liners (not sure if I actually like them now they have arrived - I may switch to just a roll of wallpaper ….)
    - £18 (I think, I need to find the bill) for the wooden shelves / dividers - we were going to go for ripped down ply but Mr KK found these wrapped in plastic and thought they looked nicer and cleaner so made an executive decision and swopped to the softwood - I agreed when I saw them and they were the exact depth we needed so there was no waste.

I shall continue in quietly plodding on mode …..
