Squeeeeeee! Proper excited! Mr KK has found a cheap (£20) woooden wardrobe of the right size on FBMP for my crafting cupboard!!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ We are going to collect it tomorrow evening (after a LOT of back and forth on messenger!). Now I need to chose what colour I will use to paint the inside 😊👏🤩

I didn’t use any of those ones. The ones I made were called pancakes but my books look different to yours as well. Hopefully one of them works out for you!

I love a bargain like that! Wahoo

Burgers are in the fridge, chilling ….
I will find out what they are like for dinner tonight! 🤞
I have made i them in two ways - one still quite lumpy and one blitzed completely. It will be interesting to see how they both cook and taste - I have put one out of each for Mr KK to fry for my dinner tonight when he has beef and gravy.

Cat is sticky-necked and hates us! 😂

Bought a new B@cofoil cling film dispenser and refills. Started on Big River but it looked flipping expensive so went direct to the B@cofoil site and saved c. £7 and got more for my money! Tried to get TCB but they aren’t on there. 🤷‍♀️😊

There's nothing more dramatic than a recently medicated cat!

    Fingers crossed for the burgers.

😂😂😂😂 And you would know more than most of us! 😊
I learned one thing from our last trip to the vets …. do the sticky neck dose last, as once you’ve done that, it’s game over and you get no further cooperation / extreme resistance from our little monkey! She is remarkably controlled, and doesn’t bite or scratch but wriggles and squiggles like something I have never seen before. The vet was mortified as she couldn’t get a worming tablet down the cat’s throat. Cat was like “No! I’m done! You are NOT doing anything else to me!” It just got too distressing to watch and it started seeming really unfair / unkind, so I called time on it. I was surprised by the vet’s determination to continue….

"Do any spot ons last, or you'll end up covered in spot on" is a very early practical lesson!

From experience, there are always a few clients who will go outside and tell the receptionist how rubbish the vet was when you fail (normally not appreciating that the walls are not that soundproof, and that colleagues do talk to each other..!), so there's always a lot of temptation to continue trying past the point where it's sensible to give up just to save face...

(I have completely given up on my own when it comes to worming tablets. You give me a scene from The Exorcist when I tablet worm you, you get spot on wormer and cry about it)

@Merlin's_Beard ah … I hadn’t considered that. I wouldn’t dream of bitching to the receptionist about a vet struggling to worm a cat. What would be the point! And besides, it would only be that they had struggled to do something I don’t even want to attempt! 😂

    Burger feedback:

Well they were definitely moist, wet even! 😂 Tbh I think I would bake the rest of this batch in the oven rather than fry. Mr KK said the lumpy ones held together better and honestly they tasted better too - the mushed up ones just became blobular goo …. Lesson learned. 😉
I would definitely make them again, and there was such satisfaction in eating those rather than a qoooorn not-chicken thing with my roast dinner last night, but I will definitely:
    a) be bolder with the flavours
    b) make them less wet (not sure how yet - more flour / cornflour / something else ….? 🤔)

The conservatory is now blocked up with flat packed wardrobe (we really had to persist to collect it - it hadn’t been given to the garage next door and they didn’t know we were coming 🙄). It’s a lot of timber for £20 and is a good solid piece - I am really pleased with it 😊 Starting to think paint colours now - I am day-dreaming about beach hut colours …. 🤔😊
I also have empty boxes from work to start putting books into, for the ‘Tetris process’ that will have to happen for my books, all over the house over the next few weeks …. 😊
