First load of washing is on.
Greenhouse is weeded, dead-headed / dead-leafed, fed with comfrey pellets (been meaning to do that all week!) and watered.
Pearl barley for burgers is bubbling away on the hob. 😊
Having a cuppa on the sofa.

Feeling more energetic than I have for weeks!

The burger sounds nice, have you tried The Happy Pear website? They have lots of recipes on there, I love their podcast for health and well-being type stuff.

Managed to snaffle the last dose of flea ‘sticky-neck’ at the vets - apparently there have been loads of calls about fleas this morning! The cat will have to be caught and ‘dropped on’ in a two person operation at some point this weekend …. (she is very small in build, very floofy of fur which is also very silky so she is very slippery to hold! 😂).

Vegan food fair was okayish but not big (maybe 10 food stalls in total with a crystal stall, wildlife and plant charity stalls) with a lot of sweet stuff. Not much inspiration but did come away with awesome olives and two nut based vegan cheeses - instead of the endless, stomach-ache inducing, coconut oil stuff you get in standard shops. 😊 Didn’t spend too much either! 😉

I reflected on your burger idea and realised that earlier in the week I made a sort of patty from Deliciously Ella which was sweet potato and quinoa. They’re supposed to be pancakes but they didn’t go very flat for me, more like a soft textured burger very rough around the edges but turned out okay. Not super dry either so will share that recipe too if it’s of use.

    Thanks for the offer 😊
I don’t like either sweet potato or quinoa, but the recipe would be interesting for proportions, method etc, so yes please 😊

@MissRikkiC, you reminded me that I have a DE on my shelves. Looking at her method it looks she uses flour and arrowroot to ‘stick’ her patties together and blitzes everything together to very small rather than leaving anything chunky. Thank you for the prompt 😊
