Ask us about the book, you never know your readers might be able to identify it.

I'm intrigued what it could be.

  • Read your UPFs posts with interest, that's something I'm really looking at at the moment and considering ways to cut them down. I'd always thought of us as being pretty healthy eaters anyway but when you count them up it's amazing/scary how many UPFs are in our diet (especially the bread, that's been a real eye opener!)

Also I'm near Monmouth too, our village is over the Monmouthshire border but we're half a mile from the Forest of Dean border. Feel so lucky to live here.

I have a theory.  Taking London as base.  Around Manchester add one jumper.  Forest of Dean add 2.  Lived & worked there many many years ago.  I was pleased to see that the Speech House is still going although it has probably changed a lot.

It is an absolutely stunning area and relatively quiet too, compared to the inner cities.

There’s a vegan market coming up next Saturday, in Ross - have you seen that?

Why not just put it on here and see if anyone knows it.  A lot of us are long time readers, although I left my teens over 50 years ago so may not be a lot of help!

ETA  I've just checked out a book I read when I wasn't quite a teenager.  On Amazon for $100.  I'm just wondering if it is still in the loft.
I typed up quite a detailed description this morning for the FB group but am still waiting for the admins  to approve it …. Once it surfaces / I have the time to write it again I will post it. Thank you 😊

Latest stage of hearth building ….
Mr KK is filing in the last gap between the stove and the external flue and we will probably light it tonight, partly because all the new fire bricks and cement need to be fired in gently and also, you know, the weather etc … 🙄😂

Try Lancaster where I originate from - that’s definitely two jumpers and proper slippers! 😉
