I only feed my boy once a day now which is just at bedtime so I think the sizes I’ve been wearing to now have been much bigger than i need now. I just didn’t think it was 2 back sizes bigger. I did actually walk out of the shop thinking about the work that goes into them which might justify the price but even still i did think it a lot. Id be happy to pay half of that which I already think is the more expensive end of the range but maybe not £100

I buy them two at a time as I loathe shopping so much, and then it’s £80+. I tend to wince then! 😂

I feel like I haven’t been here for a long time as so much has happened here …. But actually checking the dates, it was only 4 days ago ….

Finally saw the counsellor on Tuesday night. That was really useful. I had done a LOT of thinking and ‘chewing over’ before I went there and talking to her solidified a few things in my mind. In the longer term I am going to leave where I am working now and try to move on / up in my next role as I think I would enjoy and be good at a quality directorship, but I want to get my team strong and equipped to manage without me. I am aiming for early March next year for this. There is a new auditing course that might be useful to get done between now and then and I also really want to zero in on my strategic and planning skills in work so my CV looks more suitable. There is an ex HR officer who used to work where I am now who is now a friend and enjoys acting as a management coach, so I shall bounce off her and use her input to plan as well.

In the short term, the project I have just started running has ‘given me permission’ to stop attending a lot of the worst, soul destroying daily meetings and instead my team are covering those (they do chunks rather than the whole lot) which is good expansion for them. I am actually getting time to do tasks that need doing! I have also started going to bed at 9.30pm with lights out at no later than 10pm - I know this is helping as I am waking with my daylight alarm and before my audible alarm goes off.

    As for this weekend:

It’s raining here already so other than watering the greenhouse there will be no going in the garden today. Forecast is a bit more broken up tomorrow so I’m hoping to get out there then.

Seeing a friend this afternoon for a brew and a catch up. This was prompted by going to see the counsellor for an earlier than expected first session and her asking me to score myself on various aspects of my life. I scored myself a fairly miserable 3/10 on sociability / friends, so decided to do something about it!

There are various chores to do (yawn ….) but I also want to try and start some kind of art project. Even if I just plan / dream it out this weekend I will be pleased. Mr KK is having a weekend off building works here (TG!) so I will actually get a rest weekend for the first time in a while.

Takeaway tonight, Mr KK’s treat, which I feel like I shouldn’t but otoh, I also feel like I need the rest from cooking.

Tbh, one of my key focus areas this weekend needs to be catching up on all my finances (tracking etc), looking at fibre broadband deals and thinking about other options for vegan UPFs.

Missed your posts Kajikita, but glad you are okay

Glad you have mulled things over and now have a plan.  Just remember that its not always you and things only become clearer later.

Sociability sounds a good plan

Awww … thank you Sandy 😊 Always nice to feel appreciated ❤️
I think that thing about it not always being me was the biggest ‘penny drop’ in the counselling session. I sort of knew it intellectually, but having someone external to the situation say ‘you walked into a !!!!!! storm and had no support’ was very validating.

Edit: that’s interesting…. The word ‘!!!!!!’ got edited to ‘!!!!´ even though that didn’t show on the preview …. Interesting filter.
Edit2: and now it’s showing as the word I originally typed ….??! 😂🤷‍♀️

Just been reading a lovely thread on FB about books that make you feel like a child again 😊
There are some lovely ideas there and I now have a long list to track down and re-read ❤️

Segue: Which would be the best board to ask about a teen fiction book I used to have, want to re-read but can’t remember the title of now …?

Why not just put it on here and see if anyone knows it.  A lot of us are long time readers, although I left my teens over 50 years ago so may not be a lot of help!

ETA  I've just checked out a book I read when I wasn't quite a teenager.  On Amazon for $100.  I'm just wondering if it is still in the loft.
