Wow - he is so cute!  Sounds like he is settling in really well.  I was watching some kittens on tv last night and thinking I would take back my advice to you to get an older cat - kittens really are so adorable!

Thanks everyone, ramouth I’m sure an older cat would have been better for me 😂 I’m all for making life easier now and he doesn’t do that. I am out all day today at bluewater with best friend (mother of the bride looking) today and although ds2 and fiancée are home all day i feel bad leaving him. He won’t care, he had a lovely time last night smashing my stag ornament that lives in the bay window and when dh walked past on the way to work this morning he was standing next to his scratch post clawing the leather armchair furiously 🤣 He has taken over already, my lovely tidy living room is covered in toys, tunnels and scratch posts!

Money is short as it’s the start of the year, empty savings pots and I’ve bought a cat which now requires vets bills and stuff! We have a boiler service/tap repair/ connect up the online heating thingy guy coming Saturday. On the plus side the dress I’ve got for ds2’s twilight wedding is much cheaper than I expected and I’ve reordered it again after finding a better vouchercode so £87.72 😁

Left on the list this year is dhs 50th,I booked a fortnights cruise to Russia, Denmark and Sweden (can’t remember where else) which is a couple of weeks after his birthday. He now knows about this as it was booked a long time ago and I didn’t know if I should cancel at one point so wanted to ask him. He has his birthday off and the day after which is a thurs/Friday and I wanted to book a short break maybe to Italy but now I think that’s really not realistic financially. After a chat last night he says the cruise is plenty which is true but if he’s off and has nothing planned which means if we stay at home we will just eat out anyway and probably pay for the kids 😆
So I’ve had a look online at a hotel chain we have used before and found a 2 night package for two with dinner the first night and breakfasts for £200 in Sailsbury with good reviews which seems perfect, not too long driving and we could come back maybe Saturday and have a family do in the garden Sunday when the kids are all off work. He’s a person that doesn’t want much stuff really so I think this would make a better present.
    MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁
