Knowing how I feel about staying with people, I would say £500 is cheap at twice the price.

    😂 indeed!

Everywhere is gridlocked here again, so sorry for all the people that can’t cross the dartford bridge that really have to, we are quite a distance away and the end of our town is totally blocked.

Just checked fleabay and after postage costs I’ve made £52.19! So happy with this 😊 it’s going to the York Xmas break fund with best friend, along with £20 I found in my purse a while ago that I’ve been reluctant to do anything with 😆 York total now £175.80 , £24.20 to find still.

That's a great result from fleabay! And it's so much fun finding money for the extras like that - I'm sure you'll find that last £24.20!

Thanks Vix, finally the last buyer paid today, 99p for a brand new next evening dress with the £85 price tag still on 😡 I didn’t pay that for it, probably about £15/£20 I guess , but I’m so annoyed and it’s all my own fault, such as bargain and as they paid late I need to go to the post office a second time.

    Spending update:
    • £31.06 Tesco food and household stuff
    • £20 on a pair of leggings and a “snoodie” in primarni to keep me warm at night in the living room 🥶
    Total spend so far £1800/ £491.60 a £115.77 overspend. Need to have a few NSD’s I think!

Second update, just had an email from next as I had a credit on my account which has now been refunded of £20! Also had a small surplus in the Xmas pot after adding things up of £6.68 , so the York pot has now hit its £200 target 🥳 so pleased as that’s on top of the £300 extra savings I’ve made this month which is going towards the trip we have in April. I’ve got £2.48 starting offa savings pot for our girls Xmas day out when this year is mini golf, a Xmas film and dinner.

I think I’ve exhausted most of the easy extra earning I could make so far, selling stuff analysing accounts for any surplus etc. I guess it gets a bit harder now.

Finally a no spend day 😀 now only a £95.99 overspend, tomorrow I’ll probably buy coffee and maybe cake for DIL as I’m going to go with her for her eye test and wander round town , they are still house sitting at best friends so I can park on the the drive and walk to town, I always do that as parking starts at £1.50 for 30 mins!

Unusual day today as mum text and asked me out to lunch with her and dad at the hotel nearby, there was a wedding there and it was hammering down with rain so badly the ceiling fell in one end of the restaurant, not near the wedding luckily and we were just sat in the bar. Other than that I spent the day wrapping all the Xmas gifts I’ve bought so far, it’s the silly cheap stockings I do for the kids and partners that take all the time. I know it’s really early but I like to not have stuff squished all over the place it’s hard to keep track of what I’ve even with a Xmas book.

That’s true always something last minute 😆

    Yesterdays spending was:

    • £9 in cost@ on one gingerbread coffee and a cheese toastie for DIL - I had a free coffee with voucher - ouch!
    • Icel@nd £13.35 on bread and pizzas for everyone, ds1 was going to order a takeaway for himself and girlfriend that evening so I said I’d get frozen ones and pay 😀
Off to the post office to queue for ages to post one 99p dress, may have to send back one pair of glasses I ordered too, prescription wrong and I am  convinced it’s not my fault but not sure yet!

I shall update the totals when I’ve worked out any spending today, might need a couple of bits.

Well eBay charges were almost the same as I sold the dress for, how annoying!

    • £4.60 in Tesco express, butter, apples and crisps
Total spend so far in the three month £1800 challenge is £518.55 which is an overspend based on the daily rate of £19.78 of £83.39 now.

Need to list some more stuff on eBay as I’ve got reduced listing fees I think for this weekend. Also got a £10 off £25 spend email from next for the first time ever, might have to make use of that for a Xmas present.

That's still a £15 spend though, NG - make sure you use it wisely! If you wouldn't have bought something without the discount, is it definitely something you want to buy 🤔!?
