That sounds like a pretty perfect day to me. I also have things squirrelled away for listing on eBay. Part of what puts me off is having to get them out to do it and all the mess this will make. Am I right in thinking you have already one this bit?1

Hi Ramouth, I already took photos at the weekend, today I realised I can’t sell it all at once as I’d be in the post office for hours 😆 listed eight items to end Saturday, fingers crossed, hope you managed to sort your stuff out.
So today I finally cancelled our Us/Canada trip next sept 😩 The £900 (eek!) deposit was apparently only transferable to another tailor made package ( flights/cruise/hotels etc.) but they agreed to let me transfer some of it -£650 towards another princess cruise without the extras, so we went for a uk one next April at £659 each plus £320 each for the Wi-Fi/ drinks/ tips package. I’m intending in paying for that with the £1k left from the sale of Geraldine the beetle, plus some from my personal spending pot and plus I’m using the £300 op pot towards it - which actually hit £299.34 today.
The savings pot reached target due to me selling some more clothes at the cash for clothes place and from the Xmas pot, finally this year my side of the family have agreed to a secret Santa - hooray 😁
So the plan is to still use the £560pm holiday budget in oct/nov/Dec this year and as of next year have zero holiday budget and op everything 😱 so I’ve covered the April trip, I’ve almost covered the actual cruise cost for the November northern lights trip with the £560 pm but need to find plenty of spending money for the Nov 2023 one which will be dear as Norway snowy trips are likely to be. Also need to now start saving towards the Xmas trip to York with best friend, I’ve got £91.35 already as I’ve emptied my personal spending pot that’s been sat there, I shouldn’t need it as I’m doing the challenge until the end of the year anyway 😬MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2 -
Oops daily spending update : £13.97 spent on food and dishwasher tablets, Total spent £247.01/£1800. Also booked some centerparcs activities from the £325 CP pot, £161 spent on a few group activities 😊

Very foggy here first thing this morning, still no heating on but it’s not too bad just yet. Still not done a food delivery and have been using up what we have along with top up shops. This is lucky as I spent £27 last night in dinner out with the girls, first time we have been out for a curry in a long time so I could😬 Will be spending more later on an eye test as I keep feeling a bit dizzy lately, probably my age but thought an eye test would be a good idea as it’s overdue by a few years anyway, so I’m going to struggle getting back on track quickly with the spending budget, it’s only the 13th!
- £27 curry night with girls
- £11.88 M&S veg and bread
£1800/£258.89 spent , £21.52 overspend based on daily allowance of £19.78 as of last night.Better news is I’ve have a few bids on fleabay, it’s not much as I started everything at 99p but it’s fun keeping an eye on it!MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁2 -
Oh NG, don't start things at 99p - you'll barely make 50p on them! There's a 10% + plus 30p per item fee (unless you've used an offer). It's just not worth it! (Totally with you on the fun of watching stuff sell though!
).
If it's not your eyes, it could be your ears - an ear infection can make you dizzy. Make sure you follow up and get it sorted, in any case. Take care!
I'm not going to comment on the spending! 🙄😬Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Oh dear! I’ve only listed a few things so will look into it for the next batch thanks Vix.It’s more of a weird lightheaded feeling, best friend bought me a book on menopause so I self diagnose it’s that, however if I doesn’t go I will see the doctor 🙂
Spending could go better that is true 😆MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁1 -
Also make sure with the postage that you add 10% on too - Ebay will take their cut of postage costs otherwise.... 😠Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Time for another very dull spending update 😁
- £11.67 farm shop eggs/potatoes/cabbage/onions
- Aldi £17.94
- Eye test and drops £43.95
- 2 pairs of online glasses £22.95
Total spend £1800 / £355.40 - £78.47 overspend
I finally have done a small food shop for tomorrow, much needed now!£12.26 from topcashback today which is going to the savings pot towards the York trip, think I’ll set a target of £200 which should be plenty.Went on a nice walk with the part time dog we have today, collected some acorns for our squirrel, she still comes for her breakfast every morning 🙂 feeling very Autumnal here now, still ok ish with the heating off but I’m not sure how long that will last.

Hi mfd’s , I’d parked a way away so had no choice 😆
Boring spending update time:- £2.20 2x French sticks
- £3.23 home bargains toothpaste, shower gel
- £41.73 Tesco delivery- bits missing so no pie for lunch today!
- £3 curtains
£1800 /£405.54 which is £89.05 over daily average budget. The blind in our bedroom has been broken for ages, I have to manually roll it up each day. I decided to get some curtains instead and had a look online starting in normal shops then eBay - which where still oddly expensive for horrid old ones, so I popped to the boot sale and after a lot of walking found some very pale grey/stone coloured ones the exact right size from dunelm, for £3 😬 well £4 but I paid £3! I washed them and slightly melted a bit of the thermal lining but I don’t think it will show and it’s at the back in the loft room, I’ve acquired a curtain rail from my dad so it’s been a very cheap solution 😁MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4
