It’s been an expensive week, I’ve splashed out on a new fan which is a misting one that had good reviews, I just couldn’t face the weather getting worse again with just an old desk fan so £129.99 😱 spent on that. Then my ip@d died 🥲 I can’t live without out it so ordered a new one (the cheapest new one I could find of the lowest priced model), from John L3wis so I got an extra year warranty with it, £329 😩 So a lot of unplanned spending. The iPad has been paid for from mainly vint3d money as well as a little left over food money from July and some personal spends this month and the fan has come out of this months food budget 😂 I may come to hungrily regret this later on, but it won’t hurt to try a reduced food budget challenge.

Sunday we went for a drive not far from ds2 and ended up nosing round two new housing estates being built, there had been an advert for 2 bed terraces staring from £370K odd, of course there weren’t any when we went in, they are only for those that qualify and have a discount , so the next “cheapest” was a three bed semi for £540 without garage and £560 with 😱 they didn’t have any though so sent us to look at the four bed detached, small detached I may add, probably not much bigger than our home with a tiny garden for £840k! So that was disappointing, a brand new houses have never been on our radar before but the the thought of no upkeep and replaces etc. is getting more appealing now though, the prices however are not so appealing. I know these are pretty cheap compared to where we actually live the new mini housing estate at the top of our road sells at £1.6 - £2.3 million and these are just normal detached houses not mansions.

Today I’m off for a hospital blood check first thing, 8.15 appointment time so should get a parking space, then I’ve got lovely friend over for lunch to have a catch up and tell me all about her first time cruise, well river cruise. I’m keen to know what she thinks as I’ve always fancied a Xmas marker river cruise down the Danube.

    wow to those prices!

I also bought a fan this week. Unplanned but fed up carrying our one between the upstairs and the downstairs. £14.99 from the r@nge 😆

I won't be taking the cost from the food money though, that's for food. It will come out the correct pot - large household 🤣

    Enjoy cruise chatting 😎 dxx

Wowser @newgirly, in the hive its a less affluent area of the UK and comparing prices half of that would buy a sea view and decent size without impending worry of the house falling into the sea!

New build estates haven't been my thing either but having now living with the reality of old beautiful house that needs a lof of money spending on it. Defo can see the perks of a new build.

You did well finding a fan in stock Daisy, everywhere I went and most online were sold out 😳 by the way I may pop over for dinner later in the month as I will run out of money for food 😆

Queen of the hive, a sea view would be lovely in my fantasy life, I fear I would be lonely though if we moved. A beautiful old house sounds wonderful though even with the upkeep ❤️

Food spending at ald! this morning as it was by the hospital, £67.24 🫣 I took no list or did planning of course and wafted about getting what I could remember 🤣 one good buy was a whole watermelon , fair sized for £1.99 and no melon medley purchased, (my favourite) instead I shall risk my life trying to chop it up and soaking the fridge with juice everyday….
