I’ve been keeping myself busy this weekend as Dh has been watching football and in the pub both days 😆 very unlike him but he got a ticket to the local team’s finals with ds1 and then today he bagged a free ticket to the arsen@l/ west ham match - in the wrong end as he’s the only person who supports the wrong team 🤣 sadly the wrong team won, so a very unhappy ds1. I missed the excitement and made my own by selling some more bits on vinted, a total of 19 items although some were in a bundle and made a grand total of £57.10.
I did treat myself to a jumper with some of the money, its one I have wanted for years that I saw in Norway, a traditional fisherman's jumper, the same one that Bob Mortimer bought himself in Gone Fishing 🥰 ahh lovely Bob, anyway its usually around the £180 mark new and £80-£100 on vint3d but I got one for just £16, it looks genuine, but I hope it fits. I have been really good at not buying clothes for ages, and even plucked out and ironed a few old bits for summer so I don’t feel too guilty.Still lots to find and sell, but I don’t want it hanging around unsold forever so I might get a bit more ruthless and set a time limit, some items are £1 and have been up for sale for two years 🙄

Vint3d has been a pain the last few days, sending the wrong postage options (that i can’t print) and not letting me send stuff, so frustrating as I have had to cancel orders, online it says there are problems with it at the moment so I just hope my buyers receive my apology and don’t give me bad reviews 😩
Not much to report, should be going to see a horror tonight with ds2 at the cinema if he is still up for it 🙂 Going for a walk soon, I’ve been fed up and lazy lately so this needs to change. Also a top up shop in @ldi is needed, I am mostly making what i would call substantial salads at the moment , with beans and feta and nutty sprinkles 😋 no weight loss going on, but then there’s not really any cutting back happening 😂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4 -

Don’t let me put you off Sc 😆
A couple more bits sold on vint3d and I bought myself a Wh1te stuff comfy dress for summer for £5 which turned up today and is very nice 🙂 also ordered a few linen t’shirts from there that are hopefully in good condition, one was £2 and they usually cost about £40 odd 😱
The engagement ring never made it here after I spent a full day waiting in the living room incase I missed it! They put the wrong house number as well as the wrong postcode?! No idea how as it was correct on the order forms. Luckily it was returned to the sender and my parents are in York now so I have asked them to collect it. I didn't really want anyone knowing before our anniversary, knowing them they will be pricing it up in the window 😂 anyway its the safest way I guess.
Today has been a day of washing and cleaning, all my clean washing hanging outside has been covered in sawdust as next door but one and two are having loft conversions done at the same time by what looks like the same people. They have been sawing and fitting dormers today and its gone everywhere 😩 even my loft room has had it blow inside, very annoying but can’t be helped.Food spending so far this month is at £172.86 /£500, very unlike me to have not overspent by this point. We have eaten fairly simply lately though and I’m trying to run the freezer down a little as it (desperately) needs defrosting 🙄 still a way to go with that, mostly old veg.

Another week gone, things are not great lately unfortunately. I’ve not given much detail on here but I have been quite sad of late as due to issues between dd and ds2 (and partners) we have not seen dd - bar two minutes at the hospital when visiting mil- since December. Not through want of trying on our side I should add ☹️ We have insisted on not taking sides, which is perhaps part of the problem. There’s no contact between siblings and minimal contact with us still which is hard to cope with if I’m honest and has made me a bit of a mess. Its not something in a million years I would have ever expected to have happen in our family and has had a huge impact.
Dd and SIL have already said a while ago that they won’t be coming on our big family cruise now due to the situation so its just the boys and partners and my parents and us now which I understand as it would be difficult. I have no idea if or how this may resolve itself but I need to keep trying to look forward. Anyway, its been a fair while now and I’ve not really mentioned it on here, perhaps its too much information? I know over the years I worry about how much I do write but its probably a bit too late as the horse has bolted there by now!
This weekend was ok, met best friend and other friend for coffee Saturday and ended up taking ds2 out for breakfast at the garden centre as dil and dh were both working which was nice, I paid as he’s permanently completely broke (but both he and dil are overpaying well every month still he said 😬) then I popped to his local - “scary asd@ ” to get a top up shop, £20 odd spent.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁5 -

That is really hard and you are stuck right in the middle of it. Maybe best to stay neutral and hope for the best but agree big joint family holidays might now be off the cards unless one of them changes their mind. Shame real shame

Are they aware how much it's upsetting you? Maybe they could agree a cease fire for your sake/at least in your presence?

Thanks 🙂 its not so much an argument but a request for distance, they haven't seen each other since last October now. Yes they are aware how upsetting it is ❤️
Took mum out this morning to the shops, then came home and cooked a frozen sausage casserole for dh. After that I thought, I could clean the house, do some washing, tidy up, or I could email TFL about the bus thats knocked down our wall (did I mention?) or I could go and watch Jurassic Park at the cinema by myself, so thats the option I took! I also bought myself both a mini ice cream tub and a little bit of pick and mix 😬 very naughty. Took my own tea of course, bit I still felt a bit like a child bunking off school for some reason 🤣 cinema in the day with sweets watching a dinosaur film is hard to beat.
