Different people are affected differently, sorry you've had a rough time but detectorists is definitely feel good tv. Have you tried Friday night dinner? Another good one I rewatch from time to time for a laugh. Bob and Paul fishing or Tim and Prue canal boating for beautiful scenery and slow tv

    Happy belated birthday NG!

If it makes you feel any better, have just had a similar cold/flu virus. It put DS2 in bed for a day, I picked it up and it put me in bed between work and OH has taken down with it. TV viewing sounds just the tonic, hope you are feeling better.

Oh no Queen of the hive, I hope you are all recovered now 🙂 I’ve felt worse again over the weekend 😩

Hi Daisy, we all loved Friday night dinner yes! Also I’m a huge fan of gone fishing and the wonderful Bob, as teenagers me and my friend would go and watch him and Vic and then hang around the stage door after for autographs 🤣 I’ve not watched the canal series but have heard of it.

It was a mixed bag this weekend, I’ve not seen dd now for a while and thats quite sad, she did messge though. Ds1 took me out for a very nice brunch by his flat (girlfriend was up North seeing her mum), then I met ds2 to watch the fourth of FIVE films he watched at the cinema yesterday 🤣 as the icecream counter has shut down, he went home inbetween films to get ice cream and sweets he had bought me for mother's day to have 😂 so there i was with a full size tub and a big spoon in the dark! Very kind and gave us a laugh. Also saw my mum and sent dh over to his with flowers etc.

Still not really up to going for a long walk yet and I’m keen to now the sun has started to come out from time to time. Yesterday I saw next door neighbour in her front garden who is up for sale, apparently she sold it but it fell through, but had a few more viewings this weekend. She’s dropped it from £500 to £485k I see online, so it cant be overpriced I guess 😳 hers is a little better condition I’d say but without conservatory (could be a minus point nowadays anyway) and hers hasn’t got a porch extension making the hall a little bigger, or a loft conversion with bathroom. So basically a three bed mid terrace, what a lot of money!
It doesn’t really help when thinking about selling unless we move a long way away or downsize to a flat as obviously everything else anywhere nearby is also very dear…

Where have the last few days gone! I went out for first my walk in ages today as I’ve not felt up to it and ended up walking to town but having to get the bus back 😆 some spending done on a top up shop.

Yesterday we had the funeral of an old work friends mum, only a small affair and I didn’t know her really but wanted to be there for him. That ended up being quite a long day and dh has lost a days pay unfortunately. I have also been a right idiot and offered to collect ds1 and girlfriend from the airport Monday evening - forgetting I’m out for dinner with friends to celebrate three of our birthdays which has been awkward to rearrange since I have cancelled the meal once already due to being ill 😩 ds1 has said no worries they will get an uber , but I’m going ot pay for that as its my mistake, honestly I’m so forgetful!

Still no new budget set, maybe tomorrow if I can get my brain into gear 🙄
