Hi SC, yes maybe, but its going to be pretty generic stuff still i think 🤔 I was given lots of info when i had pre diabetes. Too much bread and not enough protein i know 😏 but I’m a fussy veggie who has to be quite careful with green veg (have to have small amounts regularly or not at all) and some fruit 😂
Just bought a couple of lower cal m@rks’ meals today for myself , I cook from scratch usually for dh and eat salad or toast or omlette etc. myself usually as I’m a bit lazy! Perhaps a change is needed…

Not much to report, been a bit fed up lately. Ive got behind with diaries which i will catch up on today as well as doing some washing and cleaning. We are away saturday night, I’ve just discovered the NT property we have a free voucher for is shut at this time of year 😏 will see if there is somewhere else near there we can use it, otherwise we will just go to the nearest bigger town there and have a wander, at this time of year its a bit trickier and it seems it wet everyday!
Finances are probably ok, I’ve not checked for a while so will do that. Ive spent a bit more than usual and ordered a fancy cat feeder that plugs in and has batteries as a back up, it dispenses multiple times a day in two bowls and you can record your voice to call them 😆 they may well have been around years but i didnt know such things existed! Ds always comes daily if we are away, but i thought the girls would like it and they will get fed very early morning which they prefer.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁7 -
Blimey. Who knew. Have had cats all my life and didn’t!

Our ‘robohop’ (totally a made up name, not a brand) is so useful - if we’re away overnight or on holiday - it means we only need a visit once a day and can feed them if we’re unexpectedly out late (or can’t be bothered to get up to silence the incessant whinging at the weekend - can feed from the app in bed! 😂)

Haha, its funny when they spend all day sleeping why is it so important to get up so early for breakfast i wonder 😆. Well we havent managed to get it set up yet, three people had half heartedly tried so far 🤣 dh said he will have a go tonight.
Been out walking again this week, sometimes into town where im often popping in m@rks for any yellow stickered bits. I don’t usually do ready meals but have had a few lately and they have been fine really, helpful when im lacking motivation and better than toast and ceral probably. Dh had some reduced fish cakes yesterday and some creamy mushroom side dish that looked fairly unhealthy but he enjoyed.
The food budget is at its limit already- whoops! Its kind of the everything other than personal spending budget really and this month i did get more lazy bits of food as well as a cat feeder and a pre pay prescription certificate for ds2 (he complained and tried to get me to cancel it and then send me the money 🙄) only got three months though as i wanted to help out and see if it was worthwhile for him. But having a slightly higher budget has been good, i have still found that i tend to buy lots of miscellaneous bits from my personal spending still - like pillows the other day. So im considering upping it a little more as we can afford it more now really and its the one place in the budget that you really feel the benefit of having the extra room and having to juggle less.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁3 -
Off today for a night away in a “haunted” pub! £68 for the night which i thought was pretty good value for a non purple hotel room on a saturday night. My Aunt has stayed there before and said its good so hopefully it is.
We will have a wander around Bury first and leave early i think, hopefully the car won’t cause too many issues regarding charging! Fingers crossed the weather stays dry too.MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁7 -
Have a nice time ng xx

Thanks Daisy 😊
We did have a good time, despite the very wet weather for lots of the time. The hotel/pub was fantastic, not high end but a tudor building bursting with character (no ghosts 🤣) staff were lovely, food was great and really reasonable. We had dinner there last night. In the afternoon we wandered the village, popped into the very expensive antiques place then into a really amazing old fashioned tea room which was just closing but said “come on in anyway while we clear up if you just want cake” wow! The best victoria sponge I've ever had in my life. We also walked up to a beautiful gothic church and saw the NT property that was shut from the outside 🤣 all in all fabulous and well worth the money spent, we will book to go again this year when its warmer and visit the NT place.
Also popped into Bury and the cathedral where they have been building a lego replica and we paid to add a couple of bricks to it, dh asked how long the lady had been doing this for there and the answer was ten years 😱 apparently it will be finished this July. Back now and exhaused even though it was just one night away, i have to say i think we will do this more often, minimal spending if planned carefully, no cat sitter needed, light packing and no time off and lost wages for dh 🙂MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁8 -
Sounds great, NG 👍 I think tomorrow is a good day too?
