I second this.  Definitely not a morbid thing.  To tell you not to write things that you want to is kinda like stating that he/they expects you are immortal.   We are all going to go at some point so do it.  Thats a good idea for a dying tidily box, we should all have that I think.  When I went in for a general anaesthetic I wrote letters.  When I came out with all well, I destroyed them.  it was my decision, nobody knew but had something been discovered or went wrong they were there in my bag to be found.  In a way, its little to do with the op as people go every day unexpectedly young, in an accident,  etc etc

Its up to you if you do a set in time letter which can be destroyed, or future letters which you can holding or add as and when.

    Sending lots of hugs

I tried and failed to have some of these conversations with my OH before my big op. He just found it too upsetting.  Writing things down is a great solution that can make you feel calm but won’t be too confronting for your DH.

The duckling is adorable and I put forward ‘Quacker’ as a name.

No to ducky but yes to Daisy 😊

Re reading your posts debsnewbudget and daisy I think I’ll leave the basics for dh with the finances and also make a few extra notes like your dyingtidily box, with a view to sorting everything else in the future that is long overdue, like organising the paperwork and doing pension research 😱

I think a dyingtidily box is a great idea and will be nicking the idea myself.  Better to be prepared and not need it.  I am sure the surgery will go well
