Do you go on cruises?, as it seems there are ducks hidden everywhere 😆
No I have never been on a cruise, but I have just bought a new to me Jeep and apparently people go around leaving plastic ducks on the ones they like, so fingers crossed my car gets chosen 😂😂

Good luck for your appointment, NG. I think I'd pay for the cab anyway, rather than have the stress. You'll be worn out, and it's only 0.0020% of the cost of the surgery, so barely worth worrying about 😀!

😆 I actually got the tube in the end SC, I was fine and walked to the furthest end where I got a seat so all good and a lift the other end where we went past the terrible fast food place where I never eat and got myself a meal and ice cream as I fancied it!

Well it seems dh’s patience with me dishing out orders of how I want the cleaning done is running out, this does not bode well for when I can’t do anything at all 😆 I can’t be satisfied with his back to front way of doing things, for example hovering before cleaning, I’m just not capable of not saying anything so I’ve gone to bed and he’s downstairs watching tv now!

Still it’s given me time to get to check the finances and see where we are at, I’ve sorted the budget for the cruise in October now and reduced the mortgage ops a bit to cover it, we are still ending in May currently which is a month earlier than the 33 month target, I’m not sure if we will get it down any more than that really. After this month there will be 13 months left if it does finish in may instead of June.
Not much else to report, did a survey tonight and had a quick call with dd, tomorrow I’m hoping it’s dry so dh can weed the front garden and sweep it, hopefully without too much resistance 😂

Can I add Cuddle Duck to the list under consideration - so cute!

if you want to write letters then do so - it’s about your piece of mind - some great suggestions above such as leave with a family friend

We all are going to die at some point so leaving things tidy and easy for them when they are grieving is a wonderful gift - acknowledgement that death is part of life is hard/impossible - this is an amazing book on it  Unlocking the Mysteries of Birth and Death: ... and Everything in Between, a Buddhist View Life by Daisaka Ikeda

I am pretty sure you aren’t going to die - you have pjs and cruises in your future but organising such stuff is part of life prep and appreciating the life you have had already - maybe you could journal on your life so far abd the next section after the surgery - gain a new renewed sharper appreciation for life
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

its much better to absent yourself.   Mr daisy is a lefty and blames that for his cackhanded way of doing stuff.  I have to walk away when he's doing the cat litter as I cant stand it and its not fair on him for me to stand nagging and not fair on me to stand apoplectic watching him.  I remind myself that we are all different and (sadly :D ) im not the elected official in charge of How Things Should Be Done.

In the long run though, it really doesn't matter.   Its his house too and if he wants to do it that way as a grown adult I'm not in charge of him.  This is me in my mature outlook   :D

Hopefully you two will sort it out too.  And tbf, there's probably not a clinical level of difference in a normal home what order things are done or to what level.

Just catching up. Love the Daisy duck.    The 'dying tidly box' really made me think.  I'm single although I do have a wonderful partner and I do have an updated will made in haste when I was still trying to resolve things with my ex but no one would know about bank accounts and savings (lack of) or possibly even that I own the house outright and pensions and so on.   I will borrow this idea and put it on my to do list.   It strikes me it is something we should all have in order at all times really.  Thank you.
Made it to mortgage free but what a muddle that became

In the event the proverbial hits the fan then co-habitees are better stashing their cash than being mortgage free !!
