Hello Ladies,
Chanie, as the work in your house progresses the excitement must build for you and your family. You obviously found the right persons to do your loft conversion. I am on tenterhooks waiting for it to be complete and for you to share the photographs with us all.
I went to the mental health and wellbeing discussion group at Blackfriars Settlement and it was a lively, interesting discussion covering a range of topics.I was determined to participate this week, as last week I fell asleep after initially waking up quite early and then woke up far too late.
The sun was shining today in South London, which was a very welcome change of weather.
I phoned my Doctor's surgery to find out when I can expect to have the results of my colposcopy and they said a minimum of 3 weeks before the results letter will be sent to me. I just have to continue to be patient.
I collected my Vitamin D prescription and took my 1st tablet today. I have to take 2 tablets a week for 10 weeks. I hope that will correct my deficiency.
I cooked a chicken breast and oriental vegetable stir fry with Blue Dragon chilli and garlic stir fry sauce for dinner this evening.

The would be purchaser needs to be finance checked first, so it stays on table for now.Viewers tonight absolutely fell in love with it. The lady was practically in tears, bless her. Unfortunately their house isn't on the market yet. So difficult for buyers at the moment. The market is just too fast unless you are "ready to go".For this reason I have made no attempt to view any properties, not until I have a firm buyer. I am not prepared to get into bidding wars. If I can't find exactly what I like then I will simply go into rented accommodation. I don't want to panic buy or rush my purchase.I realise it means moving twice but I don't mind. There's only me so it's easy. It would be harder with a family although I did do it with a young family many years ago. The children were of pre school age so it wasn't too bad but obviously it's probably not something you would want to do if you had to take your Childrens education into account.Anyway.....it's all very promising.
I had a lady send her brother to have a look at lunchtime on her behalf. She lives near London so we did a sort of video conference call, showing her the house. She was able to view and ask me questions. There is no way I would sell to her. She would be the Purchaser From Hell. 😂🤣. She was rude, aggressive, entitled, demanding. I felt rather sorry for her poor brother. Mind he was a bit strange, insisted on showing me photos of his 6 cats. 😂🤣. Nowt so queer as folk.I had a friend here at the time and I had to avoid looking at her because I could see her incredulous expression at this woman's rudeness and I could feel myself losing control. What with the unbelievably rude sister and "Catman". (Harry) I had a job to keep a straight face. The thing is after 30 years in the housing business I have learned to steer well clear of purchasers like her. They are more trouble than they are worth. 😱😂. Shame because Harry wasn't a bad old stick......just a bit weird.
I am guessing the offer stage will be wrapped up in a couple of days. I have a bet with my neighbour. He said it would sell in 3 days, I said 2 weeks. I have received an offer on the 4th day. I owe him a mars bar. Lol.9 -
Hello Ladies,
I have lost another 2 pounds in weight this week4 -
Well done Sugarbaby! The weight is falling off you.
I'm glad it is going well Chanie.
That is good news that your home is attracting so much interest Helen. We had a few annoying viewers too. Some people kept saying it was too small. They could have checked the room dimensions on Rightmove before they booked a slot to see the house. Complete time wasters. The estate agent said that drives him mad.
I was reading that chimneys need to be cleaned even when they are not in use. I had no idea as my house before was our first house and quite modern so that will be something I need to look into when autumn comes. We also have to pay for sewage as well as water here which we didn't before and we only just found out. Added to a higher council tax bill here I have to calculate today how much all the bills will be each month. I read yesterday that Martin Lewis said you should try to fix your energy bills as well so I will have to do that too.
I am going to have a bath and get dressed and take my dog out for a walk. I think just to the park, not to the beach. I haven't gone to the beach as much as I thought I would living here.

A sneaky peak of our bathroom, in progress (minus the shower enclosure). We chose space saving fixtures as the bathroom is small, but I was still worried it would look and feel cramped. Im pleasantly surprised, as it looks much better than I thought it would. The plumber said he often sees big fixtures shoehorned into the tiniest of bathrooms and that we chose well.5

Chanie, your bathroom is coming along a treat. You chose the fixtures and fittings well. I love that mirror5

Wednesday you might want to think about getting your chimney swept in the summer, rather than waiting til Autumn when everyone will want theirs done.
