Frump to Fab 2022 - The Big One

We went out to the beach yesterday as I missed my concert. It was a lovely day but it did rain later on. I didn't see or hear any street parties which was weird as we walked for about an hour and a half around the area.
That is good on the weightloss Sugarbaby.
I really have to start eating more healthily as I have gained weight. I did buy an exercise mat but we still haven't had our curtains and blinds put up as the blinds we got are made to measure and took a few weeks to make. I feel too self conscious exercising as we aren't very overlooked but I still feel silly rolling around on a mat on the floor if someone could see me. Lol.
I haven't done much on the fab front. I need to get my hair cut in the next couple of weeks really but I'm not sure my mobile hairdresser would be able to park around here easily and she is not that close to my new area either. I will have to get it cut around here somewhere.

Shame that housework is getting in the way of your playwriting @sugarbaby125! 🤣 Many congratulations on the weightloss. Excellent start to the healthy eating regime. 👍
I've been very pleased with our bathroom. It must be the best part of 2.5 years now and still looking great. We have white metro tiles with a light grey grouting and they've retained the colour beautifully, much better than white grout.😊
Back soon.5 -
Thanks Maman. I am aiming to lose 1 or 2 pounds a week in weight anything more is a real bonus. I made time to start typing out my play last night, so I am on my way. I have time to complete it, as our next Saturday session is on Saturday 26th June. As I bought myself the book The Playwright's Process by Buzz McLaughlin and some plays, I really know how to get on with writing my 1st draft of my 1st play. Even though we have not covered all of the tools that are needed with Neighbourhood Voices yet., I have gathered together enough factual information to turn my idea into a workable play.:)4

Helen, thank you and so glad that you have returned to the 2 threads. It is so frustrating when technology lets us down.6

Hello Ladies,
I went to watch the film Cyrano at my local Odeon. It was a silver cinema screening so my ticket only cost me £3.50 and I got a free cup of tea which would normally cost me £2.20 and some individually wrapped segments of Terry's chocolate orange. I love musicals and this was a real extravaganza. For me this film was a 9.5/10
I had another masterclass with Sonali Bhattacharyya and the Neighbourhood Voices this evening. I really enjoyed the writing exercise and sharing what I had written about with the group. It was an interesting mix of stories that were shared with very deep subjects but conveyed in a light hearted way. Sonali Bhattacharyya has written a play called Chasing Hares which begins it's run at the Young Vic in July 2022. We will all be getting free tickets to watch Chasing Hares. It was a good job I had not already bought my ticket to watch Chasing Hares, as it is a play I had already made up my mind to watch. Our next masterclass is actually in person at The Young Vic, which I am really looking forward to. Finally we are meeting in person again.
I spent £5 of my nectar points in a local Sainsbury's this afternoon.
I got my over 60's discount on my £12 of shopping in Iceland which saved me £1.20. For those of you who may have missed this promotion, Iceland now offer over 60's a 10% discount when they shop in store on Tuesdays. You do have to provide ID to prove you are over 60. I never buy much in Iceland, but every little helps.

@sugarbaby125. I’m pleased your latest session was better than the one you didn’t enjoy.@helensbiggestfan hopefully you will get a buyer soon and all of your hard work would have paid off.
Our loft conversion is looking good now and we have carpentry, plumbing and electrics going in this week. The rest of the house is still upside down and will be until the chimney breast work has finished, which will hopefully be this week. Despite this, we have already started preparing DDs room to be decorated this weekend.6 -
