Hello Ladies,
Thank you ladies, I will just have to wait until I get the call to find out what the result means for me and what my next step is.
Yesterday evening I went to Brixton Library for an event with 4 of the local playwrights who completed Neighbourhood Voices in 2021/2022 and it was a very entertaining, inspiring evening. They had laid on free snacks and drinks which made the evening for me, as I could have a couple of small treats. I had a very small amount of dry roasted peanuts, 2 chocolates and 2 glasses of cold sparkling water. I also got a copy of the book Brixton Trails which are walking trails in my borough, which would normally have cost me £9.99.
No weight loss this week, but that is still good, at least I did not gain any weight.

Hello Ladies,
Neighbourhood Voices had a face to face masterclass with Flo Dessau at The Young Vic. Some of the group could not attend in person, so they were on zoom, but it was a very productive and enjoyable masterclass. We tried our hand at some new writing techniques.
The Young Vic laid on some refreshments and various soft drinks. I succumbed to the Thai sweet chilli Sensations. They are my favourite crisps, which I had not eaten for a few weeks, as I am trying to lose weight, but I did not even bother to try to resist them. I did not partake of any of the other delicious food and snacks on offer. I had a healthy dinner waiting for me at home which I only had to microwave.
I also spoke to one of the dramaturgs from The Young Vic about having feedback on my 1st play and she asked me to email her with possible dates for a 1 to 1 zoom meeting. I emailed her this morning and she replied with a date and time for 30th June.
I wrote some more of my play in free hand last night.
I got a call from one of the colposcopy nurses. She said that they will be discussing me at the next multi-disciplinary meeting to decide whether or not there has been enough changes in the cells in my cervix to warrant further action: the removal of the cells. I will be informed of the outcome of the meeting and what decision has been taken about any next step.
I finally received a letter from Lambeth council about the £150 council tax rebate. I just have to take the letter with suitable ID to collect my £150 from a local Post Office. It is too hot today, I will collect the £150 next week.
I just had my prepayment electric meter read. Can you believe that the meter reader who was a Black man, recognised me, without my wig and my very under dressed self as a woman he used to see in the Flower of Kent pub all the time. I laughed out loud, as the meter is situated in a cupboard in my bedroom, so we were in my bedroom when he asked if I was the same woman. It was confirmed he had definitely recognised me when he mentioned that I only drank bottled water. What a strange coincidence.

Hello Ladies,
Thanks Floss, lovely of you to say that about me.
I have typed up the 1st Act of my play which has 3 scenes. I will email it to Alisha, the dramaturg at The Young Vic tomorrow, so that we can discuss what I have done so far on 30th June in our 1 to 1 zoom meeting. Once I have her feedback, I will feel more confident to continue typing my play. Right now I have just over 2,000 words and my complete play has to have between 8,000 to 10,000 words.
I have read Luke Barnes 3 plays, but they do not have any kind of structure or form that I was expecting. I would love to see the staged plays to see how much more they would come to life, compared to just reading the words on the page.
I have bought secondhand copies of Kwame Kwei-Armah's Elmina's Kitchen, and Tom Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll and Arcadia. I also have a new copy of Beru Tessema's House of Ife, which I watched at The Bush Theatre. All of these plays look a lot like the structures and form we have already learnt about, it that they have more than one Act which has a number of scenes.5
