Have a look at Passion For Cruises. Some really great deals. Also ROL. Both are agents who deal with several cruise lines.
im going with P&O on the Iona, sailing from Southampton, sailing 30th December 2023 so unfortunately a long while to go.I am hoping to go on another cruise before then but darent book anything because of the uncertainty of moving. But once I'm moved and settled I'm sure I'll be able to find a last minute deal.
ps. Some amazing chazza bargains today. Smart tailored Navy Debenhams jacket £1. Dusky pink Next jacket £1.25. Black/white/tan maxi dress by Wallis £4.50. (Perfect for cruising. 😉). Crystal bud vase £0,25. Matching china cup and saucer 20p.6 -

OMG, the chazzers near you are cheap! I miss my £1 charity shop from east London. There is a nice charity shop near here but it is quite extortionate as it is like a boutique. I did see a Monsoon dress in there yesterday, but it was £14. It just feels too much to spend on a charity shop dress. Hmm, I keep my eye out there anyway as the women who work there say the store gets new stock in every three weeks.5 -
Hello Ladies,
Once again I have not lost any weight this week, in fact I have gained a pound in weight. I will just have to try harder with the healthy eating and try to do more exercise. It is a long journey, so I am not disheartened.
On Tuesday, I went to Blackfriars Settlement for the music appreciation session and I had a really enjoyable time.
Yesterday morning I went to the mental health and wellbeing discussion group and this was a lively, robust discussion. We were all given a flyer for one of the members 60th birthday party on Saturday 2nd July. Her 2 adult daughters have organised this party for her in a hall in Tooting. I am really looking forward to this party, as the last time I went to a party was back in February.I can easily get 2 connecting buses to the hall, so there will be no travel costs for me.
Yesterday afternoon I went to see The Drifter's Girl at the Garrick Theatre. Beverly Knight, the girl that played her daughter and the 4 male leads, were excellent. They were all amazing singers and really talented actors. I had a fantastic time singing along and dancing in my seat. I had a special deal so my ticket only cost me £35, but I was so worth it!
Helen, that sounds like a great deal on that cruise. Your charity shop finds were great bargains.

Wednesday. The jackets were on the sale rail. Usually they are around £5 to £10 in that chazza. But if they don't sell quickly enough, they just slash the prices to get rid and speed up turnover. As you know I live on the edge of a city, with a real demographic mix. It's a real multi cultural melting pot. And there are loads of charity shops. Each suburb seems to have at least 3 or 4 and the city centre itself must have around a dozen. So loads of choice and very keen prices. Good for the customers, especially with the economy taking a nosedive, I've noticed the chazzers are always very busy these days.Speaking of the economy. Both my odd job man and my chimney sweep who came today have had to increase their prices. (Chimney was £10 more this year than last). And of course supermarket prices are still rising sharply. Really noticed it yesterday in Aldi. We're in for a bumpy ride......6

Central Southend-on-sea is better for charity shops as they are far more reasonable in price than where I live. I was just saying that I will go and look around the shops there next week before the cinema.:) They have a good cluster of them in the main shopping parade.
I contacted my friend about the holiday in Barbados next year. I thought I remembered where she said she lived and I was right. I am looking at all inclusive deals for hotels there. I won't book anything yet, though.
It is getting so expensive. My energy bill is £180 a month now and that is summer with no heating on! I did look into fixing but Martin Lewis said with our deal there is no point getting a fixed price. I really do not understand how other people are coping. Thanks to this site we are debt free and mortgage free but what is the average person doing with these price increases?!2025 GOALS

You can go back later and refine and style everything. My buyer dropped out, but no worries, the reserve buyers are still very keen so hopefully I have still got a sale. I will know more today. They do have a dependent sale whereas buyer 1 didnt but I don't mind I'm in no hurry, I still haven't found my onward purchase anyway. So given that I'm likely to be renting there's no real pressure.Yesterday I found an amazing cruise deal. New Year 2023/24 so aeons away. But it was such a good price it would have been rude not to and only a small holding deposit required. A lovely itinerary visiting various ports in Spain, Gibraltar and Lisbon. It wont be overly hot but hopefully a little bit of winter sun to break the winter gloom.I can't commit myself to a holiday for this year until I've got the house move under my belt. Maybe something around Jan/Feb next year, again to escape the winter. I'm sure an opportunity will present itself.Lost a couple of lbs. Disappointingly slow start, will just have to remember the compound effect, and keep plodding on."You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

Thanks for the warm welcome, ladies 😊
Everyone seems to be doing loads of great fabbing - that cruise sounds amazing value for money, Helen 😀
Not a huge amount of fabbing going on here this week - unless you count dead-heading all the roses that were damaged in the torrential rain we had over the weekend/earlier part of the week! I'd like to say it's an improvement, but for now - till the next crop of buds open - the rose beds look rather depleted 🙄
We've not succeeded in getting the kitchen chimney breast plastered yet and this weekend is DH's birthday so no work planned (although the plumber he uses on site did suggest he could come here tomorrow to help put up the structural beams between the snug and adjoining old extension - however last time he said that, he let us down, so no expectations in that department, lol!) and we're supposed to be going on a road trip to see family in Brighton on Sunday 😁
I did order a couple of colourful (half price!) decorative trays for living room and guest bedroom the other day, but these have yet to arrive.5 -
I actually did go out again to that chazzer this morning. I got a long navy Principles dress which is more for autumn/winter, a Wallis blue tunic type dress that I will probably wear out this weekend, a little penguin statue, a sunflower candle, a rose quartz necklace and a Ted Baker bag.:) Not exactly cheap though, but all quite nice.
I have booked the restaurants for this weekend and next week. I need to dye my hair and do my nails before tomorrow. I might go to the garden centre this weekend as I was saying on another thread that I keep getting flies in my new house and people on here suggested getting an English lavender plant to put near the doors. I might look for kitchen storage in that second hand furniture store I have used as well as there isn't enough cupboard space in my kitchen and the floor is being done next week.

Wednesday. A holiday in Barbados sounds fantastic.Miserable day here. So going to go for a walk and then tackle a few cupboards and drawers. Then give myself a facial and manicure.7

Hello Ladies,
I went to a party in the Lola Jones Hall in Tooting for a friend's 60th birthday party. I know her from Blackfriars Settlement. I had a really good evening. My legs are hurting today, but the dancing last night was worth it. The DJ was great. There were so many people at this party that truly cared for the woman whose party it was. She received so many presents, cards and bouquets of flowers. She had the best time, all evening and it was lovely to see her continually enjoying herself.I was complimented by this black man on my way to the bus stop who told me I looked beautiful, I turned to look at him and said thank you and then he said you look really lovely and I said thank you again.
I layered my Elizabeth Arden Red Door perfume with the matching body wash, the body powder and the body lotion. I also wore brown eyeshadow, black mascara, gold eyeliner and clear lip gloss. I painted my fingernails with a clear nail polish and my toe nails with a gold nail polish.
As I have my 60 plus Oyster card, I did not have any travel costs to get to and from the party.
