You are always getting compliments Sugarbaby!:)
I had a nice day yesterday. We went to a local bar that was actually lovely and had a garden area at the back. I saw someone from the TV show The Only Way is Essex was in there. I wore my charity shop blue Warehouse dress with leggings and sandals. It was very hot yesterday, but luckily the bar had a covered section so we were sitting out in the shade.
We then went to a restaurant and that was quite good too. We went back after and watched the new episodes of Stranger Things. I don't know if anyone else on here watches it but that is a very good TV show. On Netflix. The only peeve is that the last episode was ridiculously long, almost like a film, so we stayed up until about 3 in the morning! We are supposed to be going out for brunch this morning but my brother hasn't emerged from his room yet, lol!

@sugarbaby125 you look lovely in your picture and it’s no surprise you are turning heads.
@Wednesday2000. I haven’t watched Stranger Things, but I was going to add it to my list on Netflix as I’ve heard good things about it.
Our building works have been signed off by building control, so it’s all official now. We have decorated 3 rooms now and the carpet for those rooms will be coming by the end of the week. Me and OH are exhausted, having spent the last two weekends decorating all day on both days. DS is really keen on having his room decorated, so we will push through to get that done and then we will have a break. I really wanted to get most of the decorating done before we went on holiday, but that wasn’t a realistic goal. I have been saving much of my annual leave to take over the summer, so I can do more decorating when I’m off and it means I can decorate at a more leisurely pace.

Thank you Wednesday and Chanie
Even when I was in my thirties, I expected compliments from men to stop as I got older. Now that I am at the mature age of 60, I appreciate the compliments even more, as I can only see my body's flaws when I look at myself in the mirror.5 -
I've only ever been on one 'cruise' (a week long excursion on the Nile, followed by a second week touring Egypt back in 2005) as I have an irrational fear of drowning in the open sea. I was only persuaded to do that because I adore Egyptology having been taken to the Tutankhamen exhibition at the British museum when I was just five 😄
In 2009 (iirc) DH and his five siblings went on a cruise on the Queen Mary 2 organised by their (now late) dad. I stayed home with DS and wasn't remotely envious as we spent most of our time in the hot tub...but the cruise did look fab in the pics 😀
Your holiday sounds brilliant though, Helen and I'm sure you will have a wonderful time!
Our weekend didn't turn out as planned with our road trip being cancelled at the last minute due to unforeseen circs at the other end. I was quite glad we didn't make the journey because there was a fatal crash on the M4 with huge tailbacks that we'd have probably got caught up in.
Our plumber failed to materialise to help with the beams so that didn't happen either 😡
Despite the disappointments, DH had a lovely birthday as we did a tour of local antique shops as well as going to our first fleamarket/antique fair since November 2019!!!
We cooked a delicious fillet steak for his birthday dinner and even managed to cram in a spot of house fabbing by plastering the kitchen chimney breast 😉 I'm so lucky that despite no formal training he can plaster so well - the finished surface is as smooth as glass 😍
Chanie, you are positively flying with your decorating - I wish we were as fast!
Wednesday, sounds like you crammed loads into your weekend. I want to watch Stranger Things but not having Netflix (yet), I'm hoping to maybe see it on dvd but haven't checked if it's available.
Sugarbaby, you look lovely - no wonder you were complimented 😊

Stranger Things is very good and has lots of 80's themes. It had Kate Bush Running Up That Hill and it went viral as I guess a lot of the youngsters hadn't heard of that song!

Hello Ladies,
Thanks Phoebe
Wednesday, I do not have Netflix so I will never see Stranger Things. I am so happy for Kate Bush that she has made over £1.9 million on her featured track and has also in the process made 3 Guinness World Records!
I finally spoke to one of the colposcopy nurses today after she called me back in response to my text. They were recommending that I have the LLETZ which is a large loop excision of the transformation zone. I opted not to have this treatment, as the side effects of the procedure are:
1. Heavy bleeding
2. Bleeding that does not go away
3. Vaginal discharge that smells
4. Pain in your tummy that does not go away
As there is no greater chance of me developing cervical cancer because I have had one colposcopy that they have now said is moderate rather than high grade abnormal cells, then I decided not to go ahead with the LLETZ.
I have waited decades as an amateur writer to have an opportunity to become a writer who will one day be published. The current Neighbourhood Voices programme with The Young Vic is my once in a lifetime opportunity and I am not going to put this chance into jeopardy.
I will just wait and see if there are any changes when I have my next cervical screening which is due at the end of this year.
I had my 1st Rheumatology at Kings College Hospital in over 2 years. They have decided that I do not need any more Rheumatology appointments for my Arthritis even though it has got progressively worse. I did not argue as Consultants always feel they know best about your health issues. Yes, I am being sarcastic!

I had a lovely time on Tuesday as we met the couple we know at a little tea room and had a nice meal. We then sat on the beach for a while and then went to a pub overlooking the sea. A woman overheard me talking and it turned out she had moved here from east London too this year and she said how much she liked it here.
The next day we were getting our flooring done and it turned out there had been at least one water leak in our kitchen so the guy had to rip up the old floor but couldn't put down the new flooring until it dried out. We hired a dehumidifier and we have had that running to try and improve the condition of the floor! Pretty irritating.
I got some photos in the post today as my brother took some pics of my pets and I also got a pic of Leigh-on-Sea, the one I put on this forum. I have framed them and put them up on the walls.:)
Oh yes. I bought a second hand shelf on Tuesday too and was going to put in my kitchen, but placed it in my bathroom to put all my makeup/toiletries on it. It matches the bathroom as the bathroom is all white and the shelf is a pale grey colour. I need to get more kitchen storage still now, but I don't know when my floor will be finished so I won't buy anything yet.2025 GOALS
