Oh diary, how I have neglected thee!! A 7.5 month absence! π±π±
To quickly catch up - DH still has no job.... - savings are obviously taking a bit of a hit but hey ho,Β DS1 is working at the same place as me (in a support roleΒ but applying for other jobs as 30h p/wk, term time only is not much money) I still have chemo curls 2 years down the line! (I like them π) And the best bit of news- DS2 got 3 x A and 1 x C in his A levels (he was disappointed with the C - but its a bonus 4th A level and most people take 3) and is off to uni a month today. Lots of stuff to do between now and then!
I'm now off to watch DH, DD and DS2 do parkrun πββοΈπββοΈπ(I go along to watch the final lap and finish! π€£)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 Β£124616 01/11 Β£89873 01/13 Β£52546 01/15 Β£12133 07/15 Β£NILNet sales 2024: Β£2011 -

Hi apple. He's moving out - it's about 2h 15m away. He's a bit stressed at the thought! He did want Birmingham and they did offer him a place but he declined it (I think he thought he wouldn't get the grades - but did) and no places left in clearingapple_muncher said:Well done to ds2!Will he be leaving home for uni, or is it near enough to stay home?
Brum is only an hour away so I would have preferred there... hey ho. It is a good uni He's going to π and I'm sure he'll be fine....
Unexpected update - we've bought a motorhome!!! Not sure when we're going away in it, but we put the deposit down yesterday and get it in about 2 weeks... eeeeeeeekkkkk!!!!!! π
Back to school on Monday for me (and DS1) DS3 returns Thursday. I am so not looking forward to it!!Β
I've been channeling newgirly over the hols and selling some stuff on V1nted and fbook misplace. Only made about Β£80, but it's stuff I literally took out of the charity bags..Β (and still took 2 big bags to CS) plus Β£10 on z1ff1t. I've got 2 big ticket items (one of which is physically big in size and weight) which I think I'll try on fbook as collection only and that's it for now. I'm sure there's more stuff in the garage (I'm thinking about the camping stuff - some of it is definitely not needed for the moho - that can go - when we can get to it (in garage loft) - I'm thinking I might leave that to Easter ready for the start of next season...

We are fellow motorhome owners; ours is 21 years old and still going strong having had all the seams redone and a bit of welding.
I would be very interested in what you have gone for - and if you are interested, a private discussion about gas, checklists (before you go, when you arrive, before you leave, when you get back) and whether SOG are any good. We rarely use hook-up except in the autumn as the light fades, and prefer small 5-caravan/motorhome type sites.

Oh wow thatβs so exciting! Iβd love one, maybe a nice long road trip through the highlands to start with? πΒWell done on the the vinted sales, itβs such a great feeling to make a bit extra without it being to much of a pain, the weighing and post office queues bit always put my off fleabay, this is so much easier.ΒMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! ππ5
