I'm not sure Β£200 of electric is that out of the way for your household. For context, I'm on my own, out most of the time, and do a 60-minute wash cycle once every 4-5 days, and I'm showing about Β£60/month of usage πMortgage start: Β£65,495 (March 2016)

Interesting regarding the electricity use. - our household of 3 adults - husband sleeps 3 mornings a week - DD2 has been home a lot and is supposed to be studying
and i have been at work 4 days a week and study/ computer use most days - Last month's electricity was Β£48 and this month's Β£58. I did a switch to UWarehouse in June - for a Β£90 a month deal rather than Β£150 (or more) with SP.Β Β
We probably use WM around 5 times per week. No tumble drier useΒ

We do have lights on in lots of rooms at any given time, I guess - right now I'm in the lounge with 3 wall lights on and the tv and v1rg1n box on, DD is her room with lights and laptop on, DS1 in his with lights, a gaming PC and at least 2 monitors on, DS2 in his room with lights and laptop on and DS3 in the dining room with lights and laptop on..... (he's not a fan of hanging out in his room by himself and the dining room is next to me with double doors open) The landing light is on (but hasn't been for that long). Ah well - we'll look at turning more things off but there will be a 'base' level of realistic min usage that we are never going to get below!
I've sold about Β£60 of things on fbook this week- sadly everything was tiny, so no space gained - but the money is a good gain
Kids have got rid of a handful of things (mix of recycling and bin) I've also had my flu jab today. There's still quite a bit of life admin I need to do (book covid jab, book optician's appointments for 2 boys, renew breakdown cover, buy glasses for me, book hair appt for me (I have crazy regrowth growing in all different directions!!), get DS1 to move his GP back from Wales to here, start thinking about Xmas presents....) I shall see if I can get some of those ticked off tomorrow
Β - along with taking DS1 to Icyland and Sainsbugs, as there's some heavier things I want to get and I can't lift them yet, so he can be my assistant

Are you going to have wavy hair, with the regrowth sprouting off in all directions?Β That could be exciting!Β Good luck with the present buying, by the way - I don't buy many these days, and even I have a list

2023: the year I get to buy a car6 -
I've always had super shiny, super straight hair - hairdressers always comment in how great the condition of it is. This regrowth (don't get me wrong - I'm very grateful to have lots of regrowth - being bald on top was awful) is a different texture, slightly different colour - and is not super straight and super smooth! However, the hair that remained is - so it's a very 'interesting' look that I have! π€£π€£
I've booked a hair appt (Thurs this week - eek! - and almost Β£55! π±π± - I don't have enough hair to merit Β£55! ) , sorted breakdown cover out for 2 cars (RAC using Tesc0 CC vouchers - absolute bargain!) , caught up on my RM survey postings, done H0bbeecraft, Iceland and Sainzbugs with DS1, bought my mum's Xmas present (DNA testing kit) - and then had a nap - that was much needed and therefore more important than the other stuff. I did deep clean our bathroom this morning and sort posting a couple of sold items as well.
Easy dinner tonight - chip shop chips with supermarket pies - it started out as an easy thing for DS2 after a late finish at school on Fridays (after 6pm) and has evolved that we usually all enter into it and it's every week, whether school is on or not... (it's not always pies - sometimes it's something homemade or whatever - it's the communal chips that DS2 enjoys)Β
There was so much I planned to get done this half term week.... ah well! ππ
OohΒ Β it was my payday today - and I've got more money than normal. I need to get my payslip to see why - but that means attempting to register and login to the new payslip system... meh! Someone is here all day every day, she- DS1 needs to get a job! ππ
Back to school (work) tomorrow - and I am so not ready for it! I could do with another week off with the youngest 2 at school.and others out, just so I can have some recharge time. I think that's what I miss with working full time hours (term time + some weeks) - there's no time where someone else isn't around!!Β
Enough moaning (honest!) Rather a wet weekend here - am thankful for heated airersΒ
