Definitely lots to be thankful for amd to look forward ro!
Sadly only 1 x£25 PB win this month fir me and nothing fir DH. Have bought him £25 worth with my win (I know it makes more finsncial sense later in the month, but the money will come in in a few days, so I've done it now so that it doesn't get forgotten. I should end up with another £25 for him later in the month from the ato-rounding function on the bank account - that usually nets approx £20 and I round it up.
Small flebay sale yesterday - £7. 02 after costs. Still, the CS would have sold it for £1 and probably not attached gift aid properly, and it took less than 5 mins to list so I'll take that. Also listed a couple of other things - some quite specialist, so not expecting much interest - I'll just be glad is any go as the CS wouldn't want them. That leaves me 1 large thing to lust next time and a handful pf smaller things, along with some things to list on fb00k. These things will end up at CS if unsoldAll these little bits of extra money are sitting in an account and I'm not sure what I'm going to use them for yet.
Ooh - no cleaner for 3 weeks (2 weeks their holiday, 1 week mine) saves me over £150 - that's going to be spent in Cornwall 😁😁 - apparently there is much eating of pasties, cream teas and ice creams planned 😋😋I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £207 -
I have so much that I want to get done! - but I fear that the mind is willing and the body unable!
However, I have started to empty my wardrobe - there is a large pile of clothes (mostly work) that I do not fit into - but only by a clothes size or so - that's from where I lost weight a couple of years ago -and then put it back on! But I will be tackling this in a gentle fashion. I've therefore looked at the items and most I really like, so are going to be boxed up in the bottom. A handful of items have been identified as no longer liked, so will be off to CS and a small handful of items have been set aside for DD to see if she'd like - if not, they will also go to CS. 1 item has also been identified as rag-bag so far. This will continue later today and tomorrow (DH is away overnight, so I can leave it messy overnight) - I have a feeling I will be short on fitting work-clothes, but as I will be wfh some of the time/ will possibly be signed off sick again after radio (apparently crazy fatigue levels after - and my job is not worth wearing myself out over!) I think I should be able to manage until I've shifted a bit of weight - worst case scenario I will buy a couple of new basic tops from somewhere like Tu to keep me going. I was quite happy with where I'd got to in 2020, so would love to get back there and have everything fit!
Today also sees me taking 2 x boys for C0vid jabs, hopefully collecting a prescription - and some fuel from a smkt on way homeDinner is planned - and leftovers will also be around for lunch tomorrow/ Thurs

Well done - sounds like you are tackling mountains. It is nice when you open your wardrobe and everything in there you like and fits. That is a very worthwhile goal.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Thanks, sh - I haven't finished it yet, but it has all been emptied out and sorted through - just need to put it back now.... I have a full bag of clothes/ shoes/ boots and a handbag for the CS, a couple of items for ragbag recycling, a pair of shoes in the bin (I bought them before I was pregnant with DS2 - he's now 16....! They owe me nothing and are now v uncomfortable due to how they've worn) I've also donated a bag of various items to DD - anything she doesn't want will go to CS. Oh - and I listed a top on flebay (well, in drafts, as I will wait for an offer on fees day) and have a pair of boxed Schuh shoes to list on there too
DS2 and DS3 had their second covid jabs yesterday - DS3 has had a temperature, headache and general aches today as a result - he has spent the day lying around on the sofa and falling asleep every so often. He's just had some plain spaghetti and water (his choice!) and has perked up a bit - this is why I wanted the jab several days before holiday! He'll be fine and would feel somewhat better if he'd take paracetamol for the temperature and aches.... sigh....
I ended up feeling really rough yesterday afternoon and evening and went to bed with a temperature myself - I should have phoned chemo helpline with temperature and some other issues, but decided not to (oops) - I do feel improved today, and temperature has gone down. I did point out to DH that he should not be travelling around or staying away (like he was last night) during my neutropenic week for this very reason.... Still, only 1 more chemo to go - and he will NOT be going anywhere for that one! My family are very used to me 'soldiering on' and tend to take it for granted.....
Any money news? DS2 also won £25 on PBs this monthI cashed out £3.50 ish from tcb, so used that as a voucher in Tesc0 and transferred £5 to my 'extra monies' account (I always round up!) That's probably all

Sorry you've had a temp on top of other stuff. Hope you and your family recover quickly and you can have your final chemo dose on time.
Sounds like great progress on the wardrobe. I cheated today and paid my cleaner extra to sort out my carp. She did a stunning job. Asking for and sometime paying for help really does make a difference if you are able.Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Ooh - I love my cleaner- they come on Thursdays for 3 hours - they only clean, though. They ate Not here tomorrow, as they're on holiday. Will be glad to see them again in a fortnight
I like organising/ sorting and used to be mostly on top of it all - it slipped with starting full time work in Sept - and then slipped a bit more thsi year! The bones of previous work are still in place, though (mostly) - so it doesn't take as long as if starting from scratch. 6 of us means that there is a decent amount of stuff here, although it could honestly be a lot worse we don't have too much general clutter in the house and when DD or DS1 move out a lot of things will go from the garage (double garage with loft above which is separate from the house - will be a fab space when someone leaves and it gets a lot emptier 😁)
Ds3 has had some more food and I am sure will be basically back to normal tomorrowTomorrow normally sees me feeling almost normal too - although I have delayed doing one of my injections as I felt so rough and they make me feel rough anyway and I just couldn't face it....😕
Tomorrow I need to catch up on some ironing before holiday packing...

I am very disorganised clutter wise - and definitely need all the help I can get. I'm glad you have some help - even if they are MIA this week.

I am so jealous of your cleaners! I had a wonderful cleaner but she left during the pandemic and went home to Poland. She was fantastic.6

Hope you're all feeling better by the time you go on holiday! I remember the ONE time we went somewhere other than a caravan in Wales when we were kids - and 3 out of 4 of us had a stomach bug in the run up 🙄 The doctor had to come out and give my mum an injection to stop her throwing up, and I was still being sick at the airport 🙄 My sister was fine, but because the rest of us were ill, she did have to remind the grown ups at some point that she's actually quite like to eat something even if the rest of us couldn't 😂😂6
