I recently came across the candle trick. It works really well and uses up the left over bitsDFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Morning all, busy and stressful week both with work and extended family, but it's the weekend and time for some me time.
No overpayments made the last few days and no money made, but i've been focusing on the little things. Small top up shop yesterday in Mr T of £12, trying to use bits up and still got chocs/biscuits etc left over from christmas and as it's just me and DH at home this weekend we can eat from stores. Taken lunch into work everyday either sandwiches or leftovers, cut open tube of foundation and have at least a weeks worth in the tube so using that up. 1000 mystery points landed on my n£ctar card so that will be £5 of free food at some point. have done a couple of short surveys and need to get some motivation to get back into it but struggling. Chopped up an old bedside table we were given and will be burning on woodburner which will give a ew hours of free heat. DH has been given 6 duck eggs so they will be made into scrambled eggs for tomorrows breakfast.
Plans for today are to catch up on washing and housework this morning and then this afternoon have a lovely hot bath with my new bottle Neal'$ yard bubble bath and read a book.
Hope everyone is ok xx3 -

Always amazed how much you pack into your week, great news on the extra bonus points and the firewood.
Have a lovely Sunday.

Afterrnoon all.
Just got back from a nice long dog walk, weather is actually dry for once and even some patches of blue sky and a big round yellow thing keeps popping out from behind the clouds.
Put the sofa blankets in the wash and have hung out to dry, might not dry completely and need 10mins in the dryer.
Lamb is cooking in the slow cooker, just need to peel some spuds for mash and will do some frozen green beans as well, nice and easy. Could do with making a banana bread as a couple of them are past there best.
Small sale overnight, only £3 but it's money for the CC and another thing decluttered.
Happy Sunday everyone xx3 -
Another sale this afternoon, only £1 made but it's £1 to the CC and 1 more thing out of the house, both parcels are wrapped ready to send tomorrow. Also Scanned shopping receipt from the other day.
Sat and did next months budget, it's a heavy birthday month and i have meal out and theatre trip, so will need to be careful with the pennies.3 -

I’m the same with sales, ok it’s not huge amounts but it’s decluttered from the house and the pennies make pounds!DFW (08/08) £64,346.53 Gone (02/19)

Evening all.
Drive to work was a little scary at times this morning, road from home into town is rural so very icy.
Small spend yesterday £11 on milk, fruit and toilet roll, eating up the stores is going well and still have 2 huge tins of M&S biscuits and several boxes of chocs for treats, I have managed to take leftovers everyday for lunch at work, today there was free cake as well so put my cereal bar back in my lunchbag for another day. Popped a Jkt spud in the oven as it is on which will do for tomorrows lunch along with some leftover baked beans.
Did a couple of short surveys last night and scanned a receipt, all these little things add up.
Hope everyone is ok xx

I live on the flat at the top of very steep hills each way so it’s treacherous here. I walk to work and it’s downhill all the way and was very precarious at times this morning. No snow but thick frost.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3
